Fix the cigarette lighter.

Are you still allowed to use that term?

Haven't the PC crowd banned it?

Good to see some progress Col, almost time for skid pics?

Filled in the shifter hole. Made up a plate.

transtunnel2_zps55b152a0.jpg

All welded in. While i had the welder out i replaced the consol brackets too.

transtunnel1_zpsbf97a683.jpg

While i have the welder i still need to make a mounting plate for the surge tank & fab up a couple of swaybar brackets for the diff.

It's the first time i have picked up a welder in over 4 yrs. I was self doubting & wondering if i still had the skills, Probably why i procrastinated about doing it. Even the batteries in my shield had goneski. Thanks to Rob for the spare shield. :spoton:

I've missed fab & welding. I'm sick!

Not yet Mort.

In the words of Baldrick ...... I av a cunning plan! :)

The Dynamat wasn't overly expensive. The box was $180 delivered. That's 3.3 sq mtrs.

Don't kow if it was my thread or not as I do remember having the conversation about the eBay store and the Dynamat.

What I will say is that I was always unsure if it actually did anything or not. The other day it was a warm day, about 27 degrees, and I was, driving bare foot. The floor was not overly hot under foot at all. I then rest my left foot on the high beam switch and nearly burnt my toe. I couldn't believe the difference in heat, especially when the carpet was just not even warm. No idea what it does for sound as it has been in my car from the start, but this gives an ideal on heat.

Car looks great by the way, just a shame you have had so many hick ups on the way.

lol Grant. Those pesky dipper switches always get hot.

I raped the dash & interior from 'Black', so it's all LX stuff.

The car has an identity crisis. It's a LH with A9X paint, LX interior, UC front x-member, Ford diff, Commodore engine & a German fuel pump. I wonder if i can still use the 'Made in Australia' logo?  :dontknow:
