Got a couple more things crossed off the list.
Rear swaybar mounted. I fab'd up a couple of Commodore type mounts & welded them to the housing. It's never plesant welding 12" from your nose overhead.
Door trims finally arrived. They are now fitted. Interior is looking good. Sarina Upholstery donated new clips. ( i presume they were donated because i didn't get an invoice) They will also be fitting the rear seat covers for me. ( which is when i will probably get the invoice) lol
I'm still looking for a rear shelf or kick panel speaker cover if anyone has a spare. The last one was lost in the post.
The wiring harness arrived too. Big thanks to Matt LH3300SLR for taking care of that. Matt, if you read this, that diagram you drew up for me should be made Forum knowledge! It's brilliant mate! Thank you!
Next on the list is to fix a little bit of rust from a hidden rats nest & rework the million $ exhaust to go around the Brown Davis tank. Baby steps in between pain periods.

Top job Col, won't be long before the whiteboard is clean at this rate.
Did you manage to get the fuel lines finished to the engine bay.

You went with LX door trims?
The interior is from 'Black'. I prefer the LX stuff over the LH stuff.

It probably will be Bruce but i don't know if it will be there.
Get those OM's out to 9" and 11" and you'll be looking good.
Change rotors, fill/drill rear axles, replace front/rear suspension, order new inner/outer bands ........... nah! That's an expense i don't really need. Stick with the V5's ( but i will change the color)

Just waiting on some more P-clamps m8. The firewall plate is being re-done which is holding me up.

Tail pipes re-done.
That will teach me to tighten up the wheel nuts. All the clearance faded away.
Rear end is finally back on the ground.
I started making the firewall plate in November last year. Finally finished after 1 failure, 2 machinists & 30 bottles of scotch.
Time to start the wiring. Shoot me now!

Bit, by bit, by bit - good one. How does your clutch cable go with clearance to the headers? I was going to make up a simple bracket to hold it off the things, but interested to see how you have done it.

The cable doesn't hang on the pipes but i haven't tried putting pressure on it yet.
I was planning on putting a 'P' clamp on the UCA mount to retain it.

Well .............. after a bucket full of enthusiasm at T-fest i am slowly crossing more things from the 'to-do' list.
Had a constructive session with the consulting engineer today. He is happy with the quality of work. I don't think the mod plate is going to be a problem.
Waiting patiently for the sparky to show up & wave his magic soldering iron over it, then maybe i can finally hear it run. He should be here this weekend.
Fuel pressure gauge fitted. Consol shifter surround ordered. Engraved ID tags ordered too. (National Engravers)
ALL of the mod plate guys i have spoken with refuse to put the mod plate in the boot. "Oh it has to go as close to the original tags as possible!"
So i am going to put the engraved tags in the engine bay & mount the stock tags in the boot.
I still have some custom pieces to fabricate in the engine bay, but that can wait.

I had the same idea, in fact I wanted to relocate the stamped chassis number to the "chassis" in the boot as well.
I was told I can do whatever I like with the VIN and Body Tags, but the Compliance Plate and chassis number have to stay where the manufacturer put them.
However if the mods were extensive enough that it could be classified as an "Individually Constructed Vehicle" then you effectively become the manufacturer and you can do what you like (within the ADRs).
Not sure about QLD but in NSW you can register a car without it's Compliance Plate providing it's been registered before, the chassis number is always the primary identifier.
