I'm pretty sure it will go straight in... Might need some slight hammer mods at most.

So maybe the 355/T700 will be finished before you get the 253 back in then?

Oh, i didn't update...

The 253 went back and and got it running... But leaked like crazy from a bolt in the bellhousing... Apparently you should never take a Trimatic bellhousing off as it misaligns things and will cause problems...

So i took that box out and put in another trimatic i had in, only to crack the bellhousing bolting it all up.

So i gave up on the 253! It'll be coming out soon and going up for sale...

Ouch that sucks, yes I believe you need a special too to correctly align the oil pump when you put the belhousing back on. Yet another reason to move onto bigger and better things (355ci/T700 :spoton:)

I have the tool to align the pump and bell housing for a Trimatic if you want to try again.

Dropped the block and stroker kit off last night!

Should be ready to Dummy Assemble over Xmas! Woohoo!!!

I got a quote all knocked up and got a rough idea on specs and stuff as well. I forgot to bring it to work though, so I'll have to go off memory.

Specs of the motor is looking like this:

COME Nodular Crankshaft
Scat I-Beam Rods
SRS Probe Forged Pistons, Flat top -5cc Valve relief.
10.8:1 Compression (Around this mark)
Harrop Dual Plane Manifold
VN Heads (Pocket Ported & Reco'd)
Solid Clive Cam
Crane Adjustable Roller Rockers
Isky Springs & Retainers
Most Likely going to put a 750DP Holley on it (Sorry Tim, haha). I'm looking into a Quickfuel one from the states.
Pacemaker Headers - Tri-Y, 1-5/8 Primaries
Turbo700 - Shift kitted etc (Not sure on the stall size yet)

There is more, but i can't remember off the top of my head... But the aim is for around 450hp. It's getting built down at Speedworks in Ringwood, so it's going to be a top notch engine!

I'm spending waaaay more than originally planned... But I'm getting a whole lot more than i expected as well!

What???? Spending way more than you originally planned???? Whilst building a car?????? Thats bullshit mate. How did that happen? Spending more money than you originally planned should never happen when building a car. Nor should it take longer than expected or have anything go wrong. You've obviously done something very wrong and should be ashamed of yourself.

Yeah, I cannot wait for the motor to be going again!

I know they are going to look after me with the motor and build me an absolute weapon! I am taking every bit of advice they throw my way! I spoke with Tony for an hour or so the other week over a few beers. He sussed out what I want to acheive from the motor and worked out how I'm going to get that.

I'm aiming for bags of torque, as the main goal is for a street car that hauls arse! HAHA! It'll see the strip a few times a year, but thats not what its primary aim is. It's gotta be an all rounder!

Again...? Hehe. What about the 308 hatch you bought? Still sitting in the shed waiting for its day in the sun?
