HAHA! Yeah, you should see the back deck area... Came up awesome!

If I were you, I wouldnt be changing anything with your car! Just drive the wheels of it! Any mods you do, should be simple quick ones that can be done it a few hours! It really really sucks not having a car to drive and enjoy!

I'll probably leave the pan on for the moment, trans guy reckons that its fine, just make sure my transcooler is up to it... Im gonna get a trans temp gauge to watch it all though.

Fuel system is going to be the L34 Mechanical pump for the time being and see how it goes... I'll know pretty fast if its not up to it.

Hopefully Eric is still in business when I get it running!

Ed, you got me thinking about a bigger pan now... I was half thinking about getting another or a bigger and better Trans cooler, to make sure the auto stays cool and has a happy life...

Then I stumbled across this.

http://www.summitrac...arts/DER-14204/

Would this sit to low in a Torana? Do these bigger pans make a difference and actually work? It says it can drop it 20-50 Degrees... I presume thats farenheit... So whats that, roughly 10-25 degrees C? Thats huge!

Ive got a big alloy one on my t350 and there is a few bonus's the fact you can screw your trans temp gauge straight in! More fluid so helps with heat and makes the fluid's life span longer! Thou mine does sit really low!! Ive gotta watch it, but im pretty sure my exhuast still cops it first!

Still try and get the biggest tran's cooler you can! Another thing to think about is good trans cooler lines! alot of fires you c at burn out comps etc etc are trans lines's letting go and soon as it touch's the pipes you have fire!

Will the L34 pump and standard lines etc cope with the 55??

What sump are you runnin on the 55?

Ive just found the last easternats how much a sump matters! Stock sump in the go to whoa and big hoops made the big idiot light come on!!

Cheers Ed

Thanks Mumbo, what do they look like?

That's probably a fair bit more than I wanted to spend though. Do the deeper dish pans require a different pick up/filter?

I haven't driven the Torry for over a year now.. And this engine build has been happening since about July last year... So it's been a while! It's so great to see the light at the end of the tunnel! The last big expenses now is just the TCE stall and the Exhaust system!

Hopefully my new Quick Fuel carb turns up tomorrow from the states!

Todd, Just gonna use standard VN one for the moment... Just paint them up silver... Can't justify the expence for new ones just yet...

It'll be ready for Toranafest... But it won't be going! Not driving all that way just to park it on some grass!!! Need driving events to get me driving it that far!

Easy fixed just drive up and down newcastle foreshore and if thats not enough travel up via eastern creek and book in some laps there.
The drives half the fun.

I last drove it at the last Drag Day... The drive back from Heathcote was a bit hairy, so I took it off the road to fix some of the safety aspects up (The Steering , suspension and lighting mainly). Bought the Engine about this time last year, then picked it up in July... The engine came out around August last year.
