Sheet metal rocker covers would make it so much cooler though! the standard covers just make people go.. meh just a five litre, seen that before... hahahaha.

Might have to organise another trip down when the weather is warmer! its about time you guys came up for a weekend again too!

HAHA! They can think that all they want! I like the VN style rocker covers... Makes people realise that they are late model heads on it... Too many HQ headed 308s run the sheet metal rocker covers now (IMO).

Yeah, a weekend away would be good fun! Last few times I've been up to NSW though, it just bloody RAINS AND RAINS AND RAINS!!! HAHA

Hey Mate,

Its a Q750 Quickfuel Carb. Basically the same as a 750 DP Holley.

Nah... You can actually see the trans sitting on the ground in the last pic... HAHA!

I still have to save up and buy a stall convertor for it... So going to run the cam in without the trans attached.

Well done Matt! Looks awesome. Nows the opportunity to bolt a flywheel and manual box onto the back of it.

Will it be ready for the Maroondah dam cruise later in the year?

Yeah Mick,

The Maroondah Dam cruise is definetly the first big cruise that I'm aiming for... Plus the Knox Cruise Night in October!

Nah, not yet... just got back up from the shed... Playing with my spaghetti wiring under my dash! Who ever molested the wiring in the past did a good job! HAHA!

I am just trying to wire up the MSD 6AL2 and make sure that it all works 100% first time, I don't wanna be piss farting around trying to get it to start when I'm trying to perfectly run the cam in!

The Aussie Flag is the right way around! Turn it 90 Degrees CCW and it is right, or turn it 270 Degrees CW and it's right! IF I put it your way it'd be back to front! LOL.

(Actually, just researched that and you are right! http://www.flagaustn...au/protocol.php )

Learn something everyday! I'll fix that for you tomorrow! Strange why they do it that way... I guess it all comes down to the position of the Union Jack.

Hurry up Matt or I will have mine apart again :innocent:

HAHA! It'll happen! I just don't wanna rush something and frOck it up! LOL (Done that before, many times)

I think he was talking about hanging it horizontally not vertically.

Getting there!!!

Posted Image

All painted now, and I dummy set things up this arvo to see how it'll look!

Im going to polish up the rocker covers now as well... I was going to paint them, but had a go polishing a bit of them today and I was really happy with the results!

I looked back through this thread, so I am sorry if it has already been stated...... What alternator bracket is that, and what alternator are you running?

Alternator is just a Bosch unit... can't remember what car it was originally from.
