My awesome wife decided enough was enough, and the dirty old beast copped it's first bath in 18 months...
Kinda clean again... I can see through the windows, YAY!

Haha, it's not a fan, that's my cousin! Glad to hear he's got it on the road, I'm yet to see the car in person. Go Torana's!
Well Brett tell ya cousin that the pink diff looks girly and he needs to get some black paint and sort it out.
Otherwise car looked good.

Coming to work today I passed a Torana on the Pakenham bypass. It was a similar color to LXCHEV but not as shiny. The thing that stood out was the personalized number plate. SHOOBS !
I think you've got a fan out there somewhere.
Hey Brett I saw this car today, I couldnt get a good enough look at the famous diff though. Is he a truck mechanic?

I missed my November target, along with all previous targets, haha. However the good news is that I finally made some real progress.
Here's some catch-up photos over the last few months....
Firstly, Brocky helping with engine removal....
Replacement engine going through the build phase, dummy fitting etc.... the end result is a 4 bolt, hydraulic roller cammed 381. Very mild, but should still make some snot.
The new member of the family arriving home:
And a quick lick of paint before slotting her back in:
For carb choice, I decided to try one of the new aluminium Ultra HP Holley's... it's a 750DP with black metering blocks and baseplate, so I decided to run all black A/N fuel fittings..
Fired her up for the first time on Christmas Eve. What a wicked Christmas!! After nearly 2 years sidelined, it was great hearing the rumble of the V8 again

I've been taking it to a few of the local cruise nights etc. We went for a holiday down the Peninsula a couple of weeks ago, so took the car and did a heap of driving to break it in. I've clocked up just over 1,000km now, so it's ready to go onto the dyno for it's first tune. Looking forward to that, but might have to wait due to cash-flow!
Here's some holiday pics...
