i did this conversion (With the LH H4 lights) just trimmed the plug back and all was sweet. Then i pissed the LH lights and got a pair of LX lights and surrounds (Still h4) had them in for years no worries.

Make sure you do the blinkers as well.
Do all your earths on rear lights as well.
Would even go as far as checking earth points under the dash.
What you need to understand is the current will take the path of least resistance, and with a bad earth connection, it will flow through other globes to complete its job. This is what causes strange things to happen.
No doubt you have seen box and boat trailer lights do strange things.
Earthing problems.

If you have 2 terminals on your park lights 1 needs to be earthed to the chassis.
Other wire needs to be purple as per what 76lxhatch described.
If the parkers only have 1 terminal this means that they are earthed through the fitting.
When cleaning up your earths, make sure you clean the metal area that the globe twists in to.
Especially on brake/park lights.

You just connected them up without any relays etc?got em in an wired em u pok but somethin is wrong with the passenger light its all dim. shit i suck at electrics.
Is the left one equally dim on both low and high beam? If not, sounds like you have mucked up the connections to this globe.
if they are equally dull, does sound like an earthing problem. Easy to check, the terminal on the left is the earth terminal(the one that is one the passenger side of the car) run a wire from the battery directly(-ve terminal) to this terminal and see if that changes things.

You know the one i mean the car that has the pop-up headlamps, so our hunt for these inserts should not be so hard now.

my drivers side headlight shit itself today.. strange i stil have high beam tho..
so im thinking about investing in some crystal headlights..
so i did an ebay search and come up with a few possibilities..
http://cgi.ebay.com....id=p3286.c0.m14
http://cgi.ebay.com....id=p3286.c0.m14
as they are the only ones that say they have curved glass and provisions for parker lights.. at least the first ones have the right wattage globes so no need to mess with the wiring..
if there are any other options out there i would like to hear them.. cheers..

I put a set of these crystal ones in my hatch. They certainly look better! They have a slight dome to the front of them, but are definitely flatter than the standard lights... Not sure if those ones in your link are different or not though.
