I considered fitting the 300 km/h VDO speedo. However I think it is cluttered and does not match the tacho as well as the 200 km/h version. I also think it is difficult to read in the 50-110 km/h range which is the range that is most important for road use. Speeds over 200 km/h can be calculated from the tacho.

yea I agree andy you will need a speedo over 200. it desnt take much to get the monaro to 200 on the freeway and yours is much lighter!!

Hatch - if you dont want to send the .cad file then why did you mention it?

It was a tough call which speedo to use. In the end I decided I really only need the speedo to tell me when I am obeying the speed limit so I chose the one most suitable for that job.

I tried another smaller fuel tank design on the weekend that follows the body line. Pictures here. I should be able to get the capacity up to around 65 lt depending on the exhaust setup.
