MRLX (Gary) - did you get the car home ok mate? Or did it cause you lots of grief? Totally impressed with how good that thing is looking, you've done a magic job on it. Wicked to see it cruising.

The black LC was in Extreme Holdens, man that paintjob was mint!!! Gorgeous vehicle, he just needs to get those red ring tyres redone because they've faded.

It's got a nicely detailed six with triples under the bonnet as well but he didn't open it before I headed home, don't know if he did later on?

It never ceases to amaze me how the Victorian people love to get out there and enjoy their cars, and are so willing to go to things like this even in dubious weather!

hey lxchev yeah i got home.say thanks to ross from autobarn for me for charging my battery!

i followed a mate home but i was ok,went on the east link with no fans,was bit worried bout a 40 min drive home.temp hit bout 205 at some lights nearly home and that was the worst it got,and by the time i got home volts were just over 12.not to sure wat to do with it but yah was good to get it out!!cheers to every1 and was good to see so many torrys out!!!nice how the old flareless 4 doors are rare these days?ha ha.

and doogs im not to sure what is going on,i wanna try get another alt that i know is 100% ok and see what happens.battery and alt in the car are both bout 400 k's old.so i didnt think id have probs.

Definitely check the alternator and regulator before anything else mate. Maybe pull it off the car and take it to an auto elec to test. Glad you got it home ok.

The guy with the black beauty did pop the bonnet very briefly, but didnt get a photo. He was asking me about filters for his triple SU's... he's tried socks but said it strangled it.... he can't find many other alternatives. Anyone else have ideas? He said he might bring the car back over for Knox cruise nights.

Just popped down for a cameo appearance with my dear ol' Dad. (He used to have a LC 4 door)
