Hi LX77SL i'm thinking of putting the 290MM brake kit on my car, what size rims are you running, i've got 15X4 convos when i rang Hoppers they couldn't say if they would clear them so just wondering what size and width you were running?

Hey mate
My rims are 17x7 at the front some i never really had any problems at all. As far as i know 15s should fit over them but best to ask the experts in the brakes and wheels section some one will know for sure.

In other news some most of the new fuel system has rocked up today. Got to love the aussie dollar at the moment and to think most of it was paid for by my piggy bank haha.

Well i guess its an update time even though not much has happened.
Finally got the seat belts sorted. I have put about 400km its even had a spit of rain on it haha.
Heres some pictures from the weekend at a mates wedding. The best thing was my dad being able to come up with his torana. It was about a 900km round trip for him and it was the first time we had the cars together.
Yeah his is missing the middle section of the rear fin. It was definatly old school vs new school

So not much has been happening with the car lately haha seems to always been the case. Bought a house towards the end of last year and this year work has been way too busy to get anything done.

But thats where Nath (2wild4u) has really helped out. Rebuiling my steering rack, fixing the boss kit and installing some park lights. Trying to get most of the stuff needed for rego before i leave on deployment for 5 months. Now he is sorting out the demister issue. So a big thanks must go to him!
Had to get a new drop tank made up to get the right departure angle for the engineer

Posted Image

Also couldnt get the scheel seats signed off on because of the absence of a head rest so swapped the old seats back in. At the same time i bought another set of scheel to make a 4 bucket seat interior that will hopefully happen later in the year.
Posted Image

New tyres so i can get the rims and tyres engineered
Posted Image

And something else i have been working on. I should have never started sanding it haha still a long way to go. then of to be cermanic coated

Hopefully in about a month the car should be licensed but i will keep you guys posted

Cheers

Well time flies haha same story not heaps has been done as I spent 6 months out of the country in the USA and Canada.

But the car is now fully engineered and licensed which makes all the dollars worth it, being able to just jump in and take her for a spin. Once again I can't thank nath (2Wild4U) enough for all the work he has put into my car getting it licensed, it would be far from wearing plates without him. Even took it to the pits. Everyone first port of call if you need anything in Perth should be quads mods!

Spent many hours polishing the new harrop manifold and sent it to the cermanic coaters. To say I'm disappointed with the finish is an understatement. It looked better with my polishing job.

Also got my extractors back
Posted Image
While I wait for a rocker cover to be sent back to me because they sent the 2 same sides in the first place. So I'm polishing up some standard ones just incase it doesn't arrive in time
Posted Image

So next on the list is the head swap and the fresh flow coating before motorvation fingers crossed I make it haha
Cheers
Ayden

Wow good work mate I know how long it takes but I was too lazy to do the bosses aswell and I may go injected down the track and don't really wanna do another manifold.
Na haven't taken it down the track yet hopefully next year some time but I'm not expecting anything amazing.

Also got the bad news my rocker cover wot be here till late January which means I'm stuck using the standard vn ones. Great more polishing haha.

Been a while since I have updated the thread. Some of you may know that I recently put the car up for sale as I wasn't using it as much as it deserved to be used and to be honest it just didn't feel like my car anymore.
The car was sold on Friday to a forum member and I'm very happy it's going to a good home and to someone who will have the time to enjoy it. So she is on her way to her new home and I think a lot more people will actually see it getting driven.
I will have to start a new thread for the new car I'm building.
Cheers guys
Ayden
