heath yeah the rims took me ages to decide on but in the end im over the moon about them.

Went and payed for half of my interior today sort of drained the bank a bit but the end is nearing for the car after trim there is only little things that need taking care of. Like a drop tank and exhaust.

What are everyones thoughts on drop tanks

Strapless or Straps im yet to decide??

Cheers Ayden

I like the look of the straps... Gives it a real muscle feel... But I think with your car, with the big wheels and stuff, strapless would be better!

yeah i was thinking strapless but i have seen some really nice straped tanks lately. But strapless is clean geez all the different things you need to decide on for a car

I like the straps but it does depend on the shape and size of the tank

Strapped tanks do have good look about them but make it a little more award and harder to clean and polish the when the time is necessary. For that very reason allone it would be strapless for me.

Thanks guys i have decided one strapless, its just getting measured up and everything now so that when the trim is getting done the tank can be getting made aswell.
Next question stainless or mild steel for the exhaust? What do ppl like more. The quotes i have stainless is only a few hundred dollars more expensive
I will get some more pictures up tommorro of the car

cheers ayden

Obviously Stainless exhausts are cool but kinda un-necessary... If you're never gonna have the underside of the car on display, maybe you could get stainless from the diff back only?

Hmm, I prefer stainless for exhausts, mainly because Ive only seen mild steel ones rust after 4 or so years.
That few hundred more you spend now might save you a little in the long run.
Depends a little bit on how much the car is going to be driven and how humid your area is.
For instance, the humidity here is always 60%+ and mums Commodore has had 2 mild steel exhausts in the past 9 years. It never gets hot enough to dry it out.

Thats my reasoning anyway. :)

Went and saw the car today not much else has been done but hey its getting there slowly. Some more pictures for you guys probably be the last update for a little while as im about to go overseas for 2 and a half months. By the time i get back the trim should have been done.

Yes i know its sitting like a 4wd at the moment so they springs will be coming out and getting reset after they settle a little bit more cos its just come off the hoist and they are the lowest torana springs i could get. Hopefully it will sink down a fair bit.

Seats mounted into the car now

All that is missing here is the ss badge that needs to go on
Posted Image

Little bits a pieces done in the bay like the booster and master and fan
Posted Image

The underside of the car sorry about the crappy pic i should have taken it when it was on the hoist. geez that tanks ruins the picture
Posted Image

Thanks for all the postive comments guys

Um its just one of those masters from ebay but it fits the standard torana booster. Not to sure how its gonna perform but it looks 100% better than the standard one i think.
Anyways im off tommorro to sydney for a few days then on to singapore and penang its gonna be good, hopefully the trimmers email me some pics so i can keep you guys updated. Otherwise its 2 and a half months with no update
cheers ayden

Yeah well i will let u all know how they go some long as the car stops im not fussed and 4 wheel discs should do that pretty good.

Anyways im in singapore at the moment so i havent seen the car for some time now but my girlfreiend went and dropped some more stuff off at trim care and said the car is coming along nicely and the dash is exactly how i wanted it. But it doesnt help she didnt get me any photos.Hopefully the guys at trim care should send me some pics of it soon and i will post them up for u guys. thats if u want them.
Um while in singapore i have got together my stereo system
firstly my deck
Posted Image
And my front splits
Posted Image
They are hertz i also have 6x9 hertz the same models so they have orange cones. That amp i ended up going back and changing for a 4 channel one made by audison.
Apparently the are one of the top end brands made in italy i dunno something different i guess and the speakers are orande bonus.

The 7" slave screen for the rear passengers which will be located in the custom centre console
Posted Image
Only cost me 170 aus so i dont mind the brand its only a slave screen

And just thought u guys mite wanna know what i work on.

na josh it belongs to a young guy not dave.

Some bad news on the car its will not be at motorvation this coming year. Some problems with money have risen their ugly heads so im a bit down now but chris the trimmer said the car can stay there as long as it needs to which is a big help. Top bloke he is. So all work has stopped for a few months till i get back onto my feet.

The last pictures for a while now

Posted Image

The dash will be trimmed and secured it just sitting there atm
Posted Image

Gonna have a new age rooflining (one piece so no bow lines)
Posted Image

Posted Image

And the seats are just resting there the top needs to ccome down and be secured to the seat thats the reason for the gap
Posted Image
Posted Image

I may even have some rear 1/4s and door skins for a hatch for sale. One of each is genuine holden. And some other assorted stuff like hatchback seats, dash cluster ss, hatch console.
any of this worth much????

Thanks guys
Ayden
