Where to TOW a LH-LX from

In a fit of 'keen-ness' we took it out for a late night spin. Just started it up & took off- without adjusting the air, fuel, the floats on the carby. It was a bit silly (to say the least)
The car was running rich, and the plugs fouled- at 11.00pm on a sunday night. 5km away from home.
So we decided to flat tow the car- from one of the brackets of the front bumper bar.
WHERE IS THE BEST SPOT TO TOW IT FROM, AND HAVE OTHERS PUT TOW BRACKETS ON & WHERE.
ANY PHOTOS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
With a LH LX torana, with a spoiler kit, and a drop tank, there is not too many spots to tow from.

I don't know if it's the "best" spot or not, but I fitted an eyelet in place of one of the bumper bolts. It was going to be temporary, but I've ended up leaving it there permanently in case of emergencies. It works like a dream, and because it's screwed directly into the main bumper bracket, it's plenty strong enough...
That exact same setup has worked well for me in the past.

I will get myself and eyelet asap, and fit it up.

But I'd do it front and rear in 2 places
Then if the unthinkable happens you have 4 points to hold the car down with that are strong enough
Bit like the red ones on this thing

i will be carrying a screwdriver to remove the front spolier and a 3 metre round sling in the boot.not as easy as the bar mounted eye bolt,but im not keen to have a eye bolt on
bumper bar.

It's come in handy and saved my ass a couple of times now.... here's a pic..... look to the right of the drivers side indicator lense....
Great idea, hardly noticeable really, I'll be doing the same!
Does the eyelet section actually need to press up against the bumper, or is it spaced out a little by the way that it's secured? (if that makes any sense)

Here's the loop that I grabbed today. It has not got the square section that sits inside the bumper/bracket, as per the orig standard bolt (on the right). Not sure if this would be possible to find anyway. With a washer in place, I assume that this will still be fine?? I guess the square section only stops the orig bolt from spinning when being tightened. How does this compare to yours LXCHEV?

The square only stops the bolt from spinning during tighteneing.
I like the idea gents! Especially for a well raced vehicle!!
Fatlh5000: You dont need to go to mascot steel, you can go to any nut and bolt supplier at all - I would be asking for a stainless steel - collared eye bolt as SShatchback suggested, they have flat bearing surface where the thread comes out from. You can also buy a nylon washer (for the top - so you dont scratch the bar!) and a NYLOX nut so that it doesnt rattle off the back!
Otherwise.. You need some good mates (Or an even better - better half! (Sorry Simmo!!)) - to help push when it all goes pear-shaped!
