going back 2 years ago i bought this apparent GTR bearing the 82911 no.
After 2 years i find out th PSN no relates it to a 3100x LC GTR XU1.
Info that i know!!

has a 186 prefix P (not original i know)
5 spd toyota box (alloy case)
308 lsd
Resprayed in LJ plum duff purple was originaly plum dinger purple!
has flared gaurds
Repro sprintmasters
Has had a fuel system in the boot
Has had a MSD or similar under driver gaurd
Was apparentely supercharged with an out the bonnet "black" charger and twin 350 holleys.
(has been serious contender in its time, the charger setup was removed in the mid 90s)
has euro/jap sports seats (maroon velvety) Retractible seat belts fitted throughout
Has had 3/4 switches under the dash panel at a time.

Will send more info and answer any questions i just want to get the ball rolling!!!

Was originally built 2/71 at Acacia Ridge Brisbane and sold on the 4/71

Have checked PSN No In Vin tag!

Comes back saying it had a METSBAC Of an XU1 and an (x) prefix 186 engine!

All the research ive done says its an XU1!

The build dates and production plant also matches an XU1

But some where along the line it has been sold as a GTR!!!

Just want to know if anyone has ever seen or heard of it!!

When i bought it , it was only advertised as a "GTR".
And i a have an old advert for the car that the previous owner had
also only advertised as a "GTR".
Has alot of features : interior (apart from front seats)
front double drilled subframe for top control arms.
Swaybars F&R (Holden)
Sports springs (holden)
308 LSD
Have you ever heard of George Wegener Performance engines??

If is an XU1 it is missing:
Original engine (X031617)
triple 150s
Opel 4 spd box
Long range fuel tank

mate hi, if you want to know if your car is an original xu1 shell,, there is to ways we can do it
1 been you send me 2 pics of your under dash and under glovebox inside the car.
2 been you can post them pics on this forum for all to see.
