What are you talking about. Those 185 fill the guards nicely... Much more than the 275's I have lying around.
Roady went a bit crap, a waste of 170 bucks.. It's the worst time of year to get one as almost all mechanics are on holidays and chocked up either side of it. Also, they don't won't to put their name to it unless it's perfect. I need to do a bit more work to get it to that level.
Getting married in 3.5 weeks and need to prepare for that and don't have time to get it through.
Was hoping to have it as a wedding car, but 40yo cars have to be new spec to get through...
It's tools down until feb and likely through Roady late February.

Bugger!!! May be better off taking it elsewhere if you think the list is not very realistic. Contact me if you'd like a recommendation or two.

Agree with Heath^^^ You might regret not having your Torana as part of your wedding day.

I'm guessing windscreen, seems to be a favourite among rwc guys even though theres nothing wrong with them.

Good guess, but put a new screen in with the build as it broke during storage... Having RWC'd  2 toranas with the last 3 years, the usual soft targets are suspension bushes, w/screen, belts, seats, tyres, lights, washer.

Depends on the mechanic, as they now have to take photos and there is allot of discomfort in mechanics to put their name to a 40yo car unless it is thoroughly inspected...

I went the scruitineering path and went on club plates, ie. no RWC,  it was a 20 times more reasonable and fair....

What do you mean....is it because original screens are tempered glass and not laminated....are old screens not acceptable any more

No I don't think that's got anything to do with it. It just seems to be the fussy ones want a windscreen replaced for the sake of it, maybe they're getting a kickback who knows.

I've actually been told by a RWC person that tempered glass is not accepted (even perfect condition, Vic)

so that sucks for originality

We had to replace the windscreen on my wife's car when we sold it about 6 months ago. It was a 2004 Lancer and the screen was in perfect condition.

You don't have to join a club if you don't want to. Just join the ASRF. Google it and have a read. This is what I did and a few others on here also

Yep, with a skyline housing cover. Has a threaded plug instead of a rubber plug.
