A man has died in a car crash at Minchinbury on Saturday.

Police said that at 3pm, a custom-made Ford opentop hotrod was headed south along Minchin Drive when it left the road and struck a tree.

The 41-year-old male driver died at the scene, police said.

His passengers, two boys aged eight and 10, sustained minor injuries and were taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead for treatment.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Sorry to hear... :RIP:

I guessing at least he obviously had put some sort of seat belts in the thing, as i bet the belts probably would have been what saved the kids ?

sorry to hear that Pete,

Although its horrible for the kids, he probably wasnt concious when he had the accident, meaning he wouldnt have been in pain.

I Never know what to say to news like this.

I feel i cant find the right words, but i just wanted to wish the family and his friends and especially the kinds involved our condolences on their loss, and i just hope that they can find a way to be strong and get through this difficult time.

Regards
Tiny and Simmo
