what sort of turn out in numbers of cars were there, Do you think it was sucsessful enough to hold next year, Id have my hatch out for sure.
Great pics by the way, I didnt think there were that many nice torana's left But obviously they are hidden away well.

anthony, joe, emm, you guys rock!!! i came to you with this idea early in the year and you have bent over backwards to make it happen!!! to all the people that helped on the day thank you very much!! 39 degrees with most people working all day on the bbq and the girls making hamburgers ect,ect and not once did i hear any wingeing!!!
phil who towed the cool room and all the other stuff your a legend mate!!! so if the only critisism is we could have had more room between the cars we will take that on board for next time!!! and as soss said i think s.a had been hanging out for an event like this i cant wait for the next one!!!

By the flow of paying people thru the gate ( there was even a line up to get in ) and how smoothly it went there will be many more to come.
Huge accolades to the new committee and all the helpers, this is how I hoped HTC would progress.

and even at an alcohol free event, this must prove I am a nutter.
p.s. Mutha Nature you tried to bake us, but we survived. Holden, Torries and the great Aussie heat were made for each other.
Except when they sit idleing too long.

I also noticed 6 Toranas parked in surrounding streets at 10:30.
I can think of at least 10 high profile, tough Toranas that weren't there or I missed.... Cars like, Top Gun the blown HB (or his black SBC GTR), Smokem (the blown LH), Killa, SLR-400... and that awesome 9 sec purple 350 LH sedan that gets around Virginia, ....
I'm sure it will be bigger and better next year...
Let's make it compulsory... If you've got a Torana you've got to be there!

An awesome display of some of the states (and, as Heath mentioned, a couple of interstate cars) toughest, straightest, modified, original, and driven Torries, and I'm sure next year will be even better (there'll be at least one Purr Pull car there next year )
Well done to DJ, Tony and everyone else that manned the gate, drinks and BBQ, judged, etc etc.

Maybe some tips to take on for next year:
# run a swap meet in conjunction with the show.
# have an area set aside for those who wish to have an official pic taken upon entry, with time to wipe the bug guts off. No queing next year please.
# set up the music away from entry gate so the poor buggars behind the desk dont loose their voice. With wind drift most of the time we didnt hear the talking well from the far side.
# more bins around, Kesab do the cardboard ones which may be ideal.
# Maybe put a row of cars in a horseshoe shape around oval perimeter, then stagger the rest in the middle. ( leaving room for shade tents on the perimeter, that was perfect)
# Set up a roster for helpers (you may have done that ? ? ) so the same guys who helped this year dont get lumbered with it every year and get a chance to chill out a bit during the day. Send a copy of this roster to all members with the entry forms for 2010.
I am sorry I didn't make the meeting last night, too busy and my bloody dogs got to my guinea pigs.
Please do not take on any of my suggestions a critisism as you guys did an exceptional job for the first show.
