Just curious, how much fuel pressure can a Quaddy comfortably handle?
I know Holley's / Demon's etc will happily accept up to around 7.5PSI, but what about Quaddy's?
The reason I ask is I have a mechanical fuel pump I'm fitting up to my 383 Chev... it has a factory pre-set output of 7.5PSI, and they say no pressure regulator is required. I had planned to use it with my Mighty Demon, but now I'm selling that and re-fitting a Quaddy.... will this be ok, or will I need to fit a reg to step it back down to say 6PSI???
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Brett.

I think 7.5psi would be too much for the Quadrajet, 5 or 6psi max

Yeah I think I might end up running a reg to pull it down a bit. Thanks for your reply mate.

yeah, you will need to pull it down to around 5-6psi Brett.

Haha nah nothing to do with Tim. I'm changing cos I still believe the 825 carb is too big for my engine - especially once I change the cam (I'm downsizing back to a tamer cam). I also just want to make the car a cruiser for the next couple of years. Long term, I plan to fit a 750 - something like a Holley Ultra or HP etc... but for now... Cruiser! (I'm too broke with mortgage and bills and babies to go racing these days!).
