i would love to go on this cruise but cant be locked in yet, i got a lot of things coming up around then and just have to make sure that i am free and have money to buy some petty! I may even have the HQ done by then and that might want to be cruised!

I went for a cruise along the route, it took me 1hr easy, and that was by-passing the Hurstbridge Broad Gully road section as the 2 Jnr knoaths were moody.....so I'd allow 1 1/2 hrs to do the cruise comfortably.... some nice roads out there.

I'm easy on the start time, morning or early arvo, whatever the majority want....

Yeah, I was thinking the same LUSHAZ, how about we say 10:00am start, that way the cruise should be well and truly run by 12:00 in time for people to go their separate ways for lunch.

All those in favour say "Aye"

At this stage we are highly unlikely to make it unfortunately. Have a lot of committments right now. Lxchev is getting pulled apart on Sat in preparation for the new billet axles, and we are going to the Drive-In's on Sat night for a double feature (which doesn't even start until 9pm, so could be a very late night). Deb was very keen to go on the Zoo run we're meant to be going to on Sunday too, but I'm predicting we won't make either cruise at this rate!

Will let you guys know though if anything changes.... hope you all have a great cruise though, enjoy....

G'day Matt, how are ya mate? Deb and I have passed you on the road a couple of times, several months back down Dromana/Frankston way from memory. Anyway, we're just going local on Sat night - Lunar Drive-In at Dandenong. It's been ages since we've been there. We usually go to Dromana, but we do that in the warmer time of year, so that's why we planned something a bit closer for this time of year. Of course, you and anyone else is more than welcome to come along. Details of the actual cruise itself are on the runlist at http://www.eastsidecruisers.com Just a really casual cruise and fun night at the movies. Everything always has to clash though doesn't it!! We are still not sure about Sunday's cruise, just going to wait and see how we feel Sunday morning!

Hope you and Deb can make it Brett.

OK, 10:00am start people.
Please ensure you are there with a FULL TANK OF JUICE so there are no unnecessary stops. It's only a short cruise, well less than 100k's, so come along and enjoy some great roads.

Well in the morning, there was the threat of rain but it held of for the duration of the cruise.
We all Parked at the Doncaster Shopping Hotel Carpark and had a good old chin wag which went beyond 10AM, giving heaps of time for anyone who could've been running late.
It did rain earlier in the morning so the roads were wet here and there, but Torrys were not built just for Summertime, so off we went.

Posted Image

It was a good run, lots of winding roads and not too much traffic and in some areas none at all. There were no hassles, just a few ricers slowing us down. Sheesh, there was one (was it a Toyota or something?) in front of Knoath crawling at half the speed limit.

Posted Image

Could we get lost? NAAAHH, not with a Melways, LOL :tease:

Posted Image

Because it was a small group, it wasn't one of those pussy footed cruises where everyone toddles along trying to keep together. We flew along and kept pace, even the Bombadore kept up :D . One thing that's good about small groups (although bigger groups are ultimately better)

Posted Image

We got back to Doncaster Shopping Hotel car Park around midday or 1PM and enjoyed a chin wag

Posted Image

....and we then got attacked by savage dogs, so we had to leave

Posted Image

ultimately better than doing bugger-all nothing indoors on a Sunday :spoton:
