Well, I ripped up the carpet in my bedroom over the weekend and there was some HIDEOUS floral vinyl underneath it! YUCK!!! So i ripped that up and found some Old Newspaper underneath it! Check out this Ripper ad!!
There was the trader section of the 73' paper, with XY GT's for sale for under 5k, there was also the real estate section there! You could buy yourself a house and land package, only a few KM's from the CBD for around $15,000!

Kevin Dennis Holden is still at 272 Sunshine Rd Braybrook Vic. In the early days the suburb Sunshine was 'up market' from Braybrook (borders on Sunshine) so the advert used "Sunshine". These days it doesn't really matter. It's many years since Kevin Dennis (real name Dennis Gowing) had anything to do with it. The yard in Richmond is long gone also.
Cheers

Ha..nice one - reminds me of the time I ripped up the floor in one of my bedrooms - same thing, vinyl 'lino' with newspaper underneath. In fact, on the front page (I 'reassembled it') was the story relating to the Apollo 13 crews safe return to earth. I'll have a look to see if there are any old Holden ads!

It's many years since Kevin Dennis (real name Dennis Gowing) had anything to do with it.
I have a feeling he past away some years ago?
He used to sponser "Kevin Dennis New Faces" on T.V. and appeared regularly.
NEW FACES
9-10 Networks / x60m-e / 1963-85 1989-90 and 1992-93
Long running talent show which actually began life in 1963 as "The Kevin Dennis Auditions" (same format though - acts do their stuff whilst a guest panel of "experts" pass judgement on them. Initially on 9 with later hosts including Frank Wilson and in the late 70's and early 80's Bert Newton. Daryl Somers hosted the 1989-90 run.

Apparently he died of cancer in 1991.

mad find mrlxss, and dont that,,dusty, hairy, sticky, greesey shit that you find stuck to that lino STINK.
Yeah, it was pretty disgusting pulling it all up! The amount of dust and crap under the carpet, then under the lino was just feral!!! It will be polished floorboards all the way now!!!
I noticed that the newspaper continued under the wall into the other room that has new carpet.... I wanna know if there will be more finds under that carpet!

That'd be an LJ 4 cyl in the add too, not a TA, think the TA's were only released in Mar '74.
