hey people, recently purchased this rust free torana for a great price and i cant believe how clean the interior is. the motor has been taken out and a guard has been taken off to be repaired.its fairly staright but has little dings from shopping centres from the 80s, the car was recently owned by a old laidy who kept it in the shed for years and still has the tyres that match the service books from 1981. here are some pics

Hey. sorry about the amount of times the pictures were posted, (double pics removed - surfmaster) dont know why that happened. well anyway since then done a few things to the car. i done my first ever paint job on the left hand front guard. fitted a set of globes. fitted a HEI dissy (runs a shit load better now and no pinging). fitted my xu1 steering wheel. after putting in the 202, it started leaking out the welsh plugs so off they came and replaced all of them myself. painted the grill as it was bare before, and it looks way better, more like a gtr. heres some pics of it. before and afters

Mate I am VERY impressed with the car, it's pretty much perfect in my eyes. we should get together sometime and talk toranas, swap parts etc. Wherabouts are you, something tells me we've talked before and you said Barossa or something....
would you possibly be interested in spraying other cars? I'm just very impressed with your work and the way it came out.

haha tyre fryer, thanks for your interest. the car is pretty mint, apart from little scrathces from its life. i was just reading through the owners book and reading the service things done to it. and wow. some of those thing are still on the car and its only done 60 thousand miles now lol. im only 16 and done a few little paint jobs now. my dad teaches me lots as he restores cars for a living. yeah im from the barossa, ive also got that 2 door LC XU1 replica that im building, and currently doing little spray jobs on that like doing the xu1 tank in high fill primer, than paint it all nice. i was looking at being a spray painter by trade, but a few poeple i know in the buisness have put me off of it. so looking at maybe becoming a mechanic??.

Cheers

Keep your options open for the moment, learn as much as you can about things you are interested in, then decide what you want to do for a living :)

Car looks great, nice repair.
