Good effort on the rust repair, you wont regret doing it right the first time.
Considering I reckon you and unnamedfeeling will be getting alot of cruising time in together, I think I need to make up some stickers for unnamedfeeling's flat black torry and your girl (if it gets painted chamois again anyway) "Salt" for yours and "pepper" for his, seems appropriate!

HAHAHA that would have been a good idea and yes we would have done it BUT another colour was chosen. I payed the painter a visit today to see how it was going and mainly to get some pics for everyone here on the forum. I decided to go "pepper grey" with the colour which is the same colour as the 67 Shelby GT500 used in Gone in 60 seconds.
She isnt finished yet but hoping to pick her up this monday
The pics were taken with a phone. ill get better ones once she's finished

Its been a while since ive updated this due to lazyness but heres whats happened since
The panel work and paint job finally got finished. It went straight to Gosford windsreen service from the painters where they put the original rear windscreen in and a brand new front one in. I highly reccomend them for anyone in the area as Bruce did a really nice and neat job. There at 31 Dwyer St North Gosford NSW 2250
Got the car home that day and started putting her back together. Thought i could do it overnight but ended up taking about a week.
Went for a blueslip and passed first go. Mechanic said i did a great job with it which is always nice to hear.
Got a 2 1/4inch exhaust put on and a set of extractors which i allready had. Asked for a straight through muffler but they put one with an offset on it. Unless it goes through the muffler on an angle im not sure. Wasnt to happy with the job they did but it sounds good so ill leave it on.
Rebuilt a 350 Holley i had sitting around and bolted that up (no comment on that) haha
Decided not to put a centre console in because i like the clean look of it. Wasnt to sure where to put the stereo but ended up making something so it now sits in the glove box which i didnt use anyways.
Will get someone else to wire it up because the car never had a radio so theres no wires at all and im not sure how to set the fuse up.
Only going to be running 2 6x9's and was thinking about putting them under the back seat. Looks like theres enough room and sound quality wise they will def be muffled a bit. I havent purchased them yet but getting atleast 400watters so you will hear them for sure.
Took it out for a drive the other night and got a spark from under the dash and lost all my dash lights and interior light. Not sure how that happened and yet to look into it due to lazyness haha

Thanks for the nice replies. Yes Heath im very happy with it but theres always room for improvement haha Bigger wheels and shorter springs will be next on the list. O and to change the slightly oval shaped stock steering wheel

Stereo wiring is easy peasy.
Drop round one arvo (unlike me calling at your joint to look at your cable, I can do stuff at my house because Ive got my tools! haha)
Ive still got all the wire+terminals out at home, I just finished the stereo in the Ute.
The only thing you might need to go buy is a couple lengths of single strand wire to use for the constant and ign. wire.
Give me a yell.

Should have seen the bonnet on his HQ Tim, featured two well breasted ladies and lots of flames.
Needs about an inch less ground clearance

It will get lower dont you worry. I wanna see how the front sits with the 8 in it and 6cyl springs and the rear cant get any lower at the moment due to trye size
New motor is going in start of next year. Will hopefully have everything to do the conversion by then. Plus got a few weddings this year so cant have the car in pieces.
