I dont have any pictures of it all 100% done, but I took these earlier in the day before I left to go to a cousins 1st bday party (ray finished the rear legs and mounted the other seat later in the day)
Even Elsie likes it!
All thats left to do is swap the springs over and fit the window rubber locking strips!
its basically done! hooray!

Going to have the orange one on too for the same reason, will give us a good indication of where to go from here as both are running waaaay too rich.
also, purple car will make its debut at the drag day in July

Just need to tidy up the rear legs (splash of paint)
And also decided to ditch the 48 dellortos, Its too expensive for us to try and buy weber parts AND dellorto parts (jets etc)
But, the good news is that we have a set of 45 DCOES lined up to go on already jetted for a healthy 202 aswell.
Eventually we will replace the seats with something a bit lighter and more supportive (like recaros, or velos)
But for the minute, these repco seats will do fine!
Harnesses are ready to go in too.
been a long time coming.

Mick,
Yeah the flares were pretty shocking when we got it, hence why we only payed $1500 for a complete (in parts) relatively rust free 2 door.
Also, Ray (my dad) has changed his opinion again (changes it like his undies) and found a site to buy cheap dellorto bits from (in the UK again!)
So may hang onto them as his engine builder mate told him 48s are too hard to come by, and we will need them for the next motor....
Sorted out our wheel/tyre combos for the drag day.
measured up the roll out of a set of 13s and a set of 14s we have, 14s are a good couple of inches larger in circumference.
I also measured out the size of my 16s for the LJ (205/45/16 tyres) and they are only 2mm differene from the 13" wheels and tyres!
which is good news for me
Ill grab some more photos of the car and the engine bay next time Im at my folks house and its out of the shed (currently across the whole shed, so too hard to get out)

now for some specific stuff-
being on a bit of a budget and everything, meant we made do with what we had, so the old door rubbers from the VS calais street stocker got cut up and used for the torry, worked ace!
so no more rattly doors!
alloy plates in the engine bay-
I just gave them a cut back (was realy old alloy) and a quick polish up, they have a cool look to them (bot too blingy which suits the car)
Gotta have your name on it right??
spill free fuel filler
will eventually make a drip tray around it, but for now its perfect
switch panel
and just because its sooooo fine looking----
the ass again!

Ive got some more photos and a short video from last night (went for a trip to get wheel aligned, front end is extremely aggressive (camber/castor etc)
the front end might cost us a couple tenths down the quater on the weekend, however its not going to be running at the drags too often!
New dellorto jets/emulsions/chokes etc arrived from europe today, all $500 worth!
More pics later or tomorrow (we dont have the net at home! so it depends on when I get here to my folks joint)

Going to get wheel aligned-
Got A LOT of looks while I was towing it down there! haha
Getting wheel aligned-
and some random shots-
switch panel-
engine bay
home after the wheel alignment-
The camber and toe arent as noticeable in the photos it seems, but its pretty aggressive.
Slicks are getting fitted in the next couple weeks (we bought our own tyre changer at a swap meet a month or two back, fixed it up and now its working perfect )

Good place to get them - did they come from the Aussie racers?

Not sure what they are off, they have some minor worms on a couple outer edges, but tonnes of tread and nice and soft still.
