Earls are relatively cheap for fittings and hose (braid and rubber)
or places like Rocket industries etc.
if you just want rubber and hoseclamps, RYCO do a range of them too (brass fittings etc)
As for the catchcan, Id be interested in one too actually (had the same idea as you to mount it where the washer bottle was.
So if you find someone to knock up a polished alloy one, let me know.

I was thinking of two 12AN males at the rocker cover, connected to two 90 Deg swivels then hoses and then the same swivels at the catch can.
VPW has them listed so might buy via the web.

I need to sort out drilling and plumbing a second breather hole into my sheet metal rocker cover though.
obviously not running a pcv valve? (mines been a "shell" of a PCV for yonks)

He has told me that breather hoses must be 3/4" ID. No P.C.V valve will be used and I'll be fitting a non vented cap.
I've bought a new polished rocker cover and need to make up some baffle plates and get this plumbing/catch can issue sorted soon.

Catsh tanks - I've used off the shelf ones in mine, and just plumbed up with rubber fuel line & hose clamps.... but I guess you're going for a more 'show' look?
Where are you getting the breather vaccum from?

The show/shiny look doesn't worry me, just the do it once do it right approach.
I'm not using a vacuum connection for the catch tank, just venting using the larger diameter connectors/hoses.

They use it on turbo housings, dump pipes etc anywhere that sees a shit load of heat (the chrome finish dulls and can eb compromised under excess heat)
I had troubles with my chrome tappet cover, the rockers smashed the front right and rear right hadn corners (clearanced it for themselves!)
But this one clears nicely-

If you are going to get one made get them to put a fitting for the rad over flow and drain plugs.
Can't remember the cost.

Head is ready for installation of valve components.
Block honed and being modded to accept red head
Headers have been match ported and dropped them off today to get flange welded on. Then off for coating.
Intake manifolds have had a lot of work done to match ports and to make fitting easier. All mounting is now very easy using studs and nuts.

Crankshaft lightened, knife edged, and balanced.
Clutch & flywheel assembly balanced.
Intake manifolds completed.

Compression is being set by the engine builder and will be adjusted using piston dish so its 10.3:1.

Head looks good.
10.3:1 compression, you will have to watch out for shit batches of fuel(I doubt this will get anything less then 98 anyway!)
Have you got the carbies back yet?

Haven't sent the carbies off yet. Had to go overseas for work so haven't had time.
The crank is really nice. 4kgs removed from standard weight of 28kg's.

Marked as 'Malpassi Rising Rate Fuel Regulator'
Rocket Industries list the whole range including one for carburettor applications.

Although with your head (mine needs more work) and alot prettier crank, yours should go a fair bit harder!
You're also running 45mm webers arent you? (stupid me, brain fart, just went back and read it)
What are you running behind this? you were running an aussie 4 speed before wernt you?
Are you investing in a yella terra flywheel? Id definitely reccomend it, bought one 2 or 3 years ago and havent looked back. (again, stupid me, looks from the picture like a lightened std flywheel.)
Still running the banjo too? what ratio?

I'm predicting mid 12s with good tyres and gears
Hope so OldJohnno. What I'm predicting is hours of fun down the local industrial estate!!!
Chris, its just an M20 which may struggle behind this engine. If I have dramas then I'll move to an M21 with the circlip mod.
I already had a standard weight yella terra explosion proof flywheel but on the engine builders recommendation I've bought a lightweight version of the same thing. YT9044L is the part number.
I'm using a 3.55 Banjo LSD thats recently been reconditioned and have a 3.08 LSD as well. There's a 3.55 CIG locker in the shed but last time I used it I popped an axle in the first 5 minutes.
Its going to be interesting to see what breaks first
