Engine bay is now painted and engine is in the car. Had issues fitting in the HM9C's but have modified the floor to suit.
Will post pictures tomorrow. Buggered after two VERY hot days under the metal roof at my brothers work.

Worked until late last night welding up floor and making exhaust piece. Made oil line and completed catch can install today.
Videos of cam run in and first idling are below. Engine yet to be tuned - only initial timing has been set (12 deg) and visual carby balance completed.
Cam run in was done in 38 deg temps so the water is a hose being used to cool radiator.
Too hot to do much more work before Christmas so have put it in a mates shed for a couple of weeks until I get back and sort out some little bits and pieces.

Im assuming the Webers have been refurbed *(they look like new!)
If you dont mind me asking, how much did the catch can set you back?
Im looking to have one made in the next month or so for the LJ.

You could defintely mod the headers to fit without cutting the floor. In my case I'd had them coated and didn't want to stuff them up.
The section of floor removed was bigger than you would normally need but I didn't want the floor to get hot so made sure it was a few inches away. You could easily adjust it out of the way with a hammer and cover it with some heat shield material.
I also had to trim the passenger side engine mount slightly but besides that I reckon you could make them fit.
Hi Chris, the catch can was custom fabricated to my design and cost $300.00 polished. As you can see it runs twin breathers and has some really nice internal baffles and stainless mesh. The guy who did it is located near Blacktown and from me dropping off my design template to supply was less than a week.
The Weber's have been carby cleaned but weren't recoed. The manifolds were glass beaded and all the linkages polished up.

Single 2.5" inlet, 2 x 2" outlets. Was purchased from Parramatta Exhaust about 3 years ago. Had to be ordered in from his supplier.

Can only believe what it said on the website. I had also spoken to a guy who runs them on his injected XP Ford and he swore by them.
Anyhow, time will tell and I hated the look of the foam filters.

Filter fits on air horn bell using patented lip lock technology with radiused entry for great signal and air flow. Three layer stainless steel filtering down to .009 with virtually no air flow restrictions
I haven't started the car with them on yet but will be taking it for a run today. I am planning to buy some ACL heat shield material to make a custom shield. I saw those ones on Pierce but would prefer to use the ACL stuff.

Last of my parts finally shipped from the US today which is good because I want to take the car to Harry's on the 30th. Usually a few hundred cars and a good night out.
Will put a video up when I take it for a drive.

The filters seem good, sound pretty much like open ram tubes. First service now complete just needs to be used.
