The 1877 part is Barbados Green and the 19V is black vinyl. The insert in the trim is dictated by the option of the model. i.e S, SL, SLR.

Attached File  Trim options.jpg   209.81K   7 downloadsI have an LH SLR5000 and I am taking it back to original condition in early 2018.

The paint / trim code is 1869 -19V - which represents Sable Metallic paint and Black Trim Combination.

The Torana Tough book indicates the golf ball insert material is Dark Ash 250.

The closest I can find thus far is a Charcoal colour.

If the picture uploads, I am hoping anyone with a Torana with the original 19V code can tell me if it is close. Charcoal on right!

Also, is the golf ball trim the same colour used on the door inserts.

Thanks

Steve

Hi guys

I'll be going through Cools but need confirmaion on the original trim combo.

I need full interior inc Parcel shelf, pillars, doors, seats, carpet, under felts, headlining etc.

SLR LH Torana 7/1975

Trim: 1898-60V

Chamois in colour but the rest i am unsure of as people keep saying Chamois/ Covert but looking at the dash etc it doesn't look that olive colour it looks like the carpet would be a brown or alike.

I got the car & its very original except wheels with its interior removed for floor inspection & interior resto.

Any assistance will be appreciated

I have a 1972 LJ with paint trim code 1821-47F.

I know the 1821 is Glacier White but what is the 47F?

Hi Nathan.  Is it possible that it's 40Y and not T? Cheers Ron

Hi Ron, it is definitely 40 T as it is a capital letter hard to mistake.

Cheers Nathan.

40T is black vinyl with option XS9, meaning it has a cloth insert. I think it is a Castillon weave Gretel pattern cloth. Norm has a picture of it on page 56 of Torana Tough I think. The black is hard to see but you can see the pattern on the other Gretel pattern colours.

Hi yel327, you are correct the seats are black vinyl with a cloth insert but identifying what the cloth insert is has me stumped. I did check out the castillon weave but I don't think that is it. I don't have a copy of that book to refer to but if some body has and could post a pic to confirm one way or the other would be great. cheers.

40T in LJ is black vinyl with Black Raydo cloth.

Castillon Gretel and Castillon Dynasty cloths were applicable to LC Torana.

This is Gazelle vinyl with Raydo cloth in an SL/R 5000.

I went to the NZ National Transport Museum in Wanaka today and the only Torana there happens to be an orange LJ with your trim.
Will post photos when I get home.
