Basically this is the colour scheme of the open wheeler, black bottom half, yellow top half with black wings and yellow end plates....the wheels are already black with yellow stripe "OZ" wheels. The chick is optional.....

Paperwork arrived today..cop this..it has 3 complete SCCA logbooks from 15-2-1988...Van Diemen Heritage is chasing the build specs but it appears it was one of the original build F2000 cars for the USA comp and not a converted F/Ford car. Derek at VD is very excited, not many have full log book history from Day one of racing.Originally black in 88, then Red in 93, immediate previous owner raced it 11 times in 7 years and sent recipts for a complete engine rebuild and new Tilton cluch in August 2009 plus all set up paperwork for the suspension..
It just gets better each day.

Yep,
Sent as an original VD 88 F2000 to the USA ..not a converted F/Ford. Mike Cue from Essex Racing, VD distributor in US sold it new to Tom Schwietz, who now runs a F/Ford and owns Aero Enines Winchster Virginia. Waiting on Tom to ID the second owner..prob is all the log books are signatures so a bit hard to ID...It's only the first 3...the other 3 we know. I will keep it stock I think...value will remain/go up when the Historic register kicks in. They have just extended F/Ford Historic cut off up to 1990 so we wont be far behind.

I haven't read the thread at all so this may have already been said, but I am wondering, seeing they come from the states do you have to convert them across to right hand drive Rory to legally race them here ???????
