It's a great new book full of information on every Holden and in full colour.
Worth getting a hold of when it becomes available.
Well done Dr Terry!

Terry Bebbington, the walking encyclopaedia on Holden, is back with his latest gem. Detail, detail ... beginning with Holden's pre-1948 history, this book charts Holden's course in Australia from the 48-215 to the current VE Commodore. But not just Holden's top-selling large cars, all other models are covered in the same exhaustive detail. Torana, Gemini, Barina, Camira, to the current Viva and Epica. 4WD's and commercial models are also included. There is also a section on rare prototype and concept cars that Holden has produced including the Hurricane and the EFIJY.

A quick explanation of the new book is that it is a major update of my previous '50 Years of Holden' which I wrote 10 years ago.
This version however, is in colour on gloss paper, has 352 pages & heaps more info. It has a pic of virtually every model variant.
It has 104 separate chapters, one dedicated to each model series.
Because I am a technician & not a journalist, the book is about model codes, engines, transmissions, rear axles, which model had what & so on. It's not a novel of fiction.
At the end of each chapter, every model variant is listed with their codes, option numbers & prices, then every engine, trans & diff spec is listed with their specs, carbies, option numbers & engine prefixes etc. etc.
In the appendix, I've listed all of the other specs - height, width, length, wheelbase, front & rear track, turning circle, fuel tank, kerb weight, wheel & tyre sizes, again for every variant of every model series.
I've tried to make this book to be THE Holden bible.
I would recommend purchase from Trax models, Pitstop Bookshop, Auto Book World etc, I can't play favourites, these guys are all reputable. If you're from Sydney I sell them (with a free autograph) from my workshop in Auburn.

P.S. I would be glad to hear of any typos or corrections, if any are found.

This postage thing gets quite complicated.
It all depends on distance, weight & size etc. etc. It seems it's very popular in Perth, of course, which is has the highest rates.
Instead of quoting several different postage rates, I just averaged them out & it works out to very close to $10 for postage & packaging.
So, I will make the offer of an autographed copy, for everyone on the GMH-Torana forum for $70 each including GST, packing & postage. (2 copies would be $130)
I already have interest from dattoman & gen3torrie, I'm happy to do it for anyone else interested.
