yeah man definetly keem. That was on street tyres with the stock VN stall,m only stalls to around 1900, you can hear my tyres screech cos im loading it up so hard haha, i was planting it foot to the floor(street tyres) and it was hooking up 100% definetly more in it with a decent launch, i was only getting 1.9-2.0 60ft times, should be able to get that down to 1.7ish

Great build. Love the driveline combo. Giving me ideas now...

Did you have to mod the trans tunnel for the T700?

Cheers,
Brett

bit of an update, took my car over warwick pits on wednesday to get the conversion signed off(engineering, mod application done etc.) they were happy with the conversion but i got pinned for the battery box in the boot which was the shitty plastic type. Apparently it has to be sealed inside the car and vented to the outside unless u have a sealed battery. also got done for having my surge tank fuel lines to close to the exhaust.
It Was pretty funny when the inspector took it for a drive, we were cruisin along at about 30-40 then he dropped it back to first and planted it, arse end stepped out a bit lol, guy looks at me n goes o yeah, she got some balls ay, haha. He had a bit of a winge cos its sposed to be stock but was ok about it.

I made a battery box up at work out of ali and some stainless heat shields for the fuel lines, heres a couple pics, i didnt realise how bad having the battery vented inside the boot wwas, the corrosion around the bottom of the box is pretty bad, lucky il be stripping it all back out in a couple weeks to get it ready for paint.

i started stripping the torrie down tonite, removed the front end/door trims/chrome trims/badges and a few other little things. Got a little bit of repair work to do on the front drivers side, looks like its had a bit of a whack in the past, the headlight surround is a bit mangled. Gotta power thru, ive got till the end of august to get as much as i can done while my uncle is on holidays and i have access to his garage, hopefully get it to the stage where its ready to be blocked and painted.

did a bit more work over the weekend. After taking the rear bumper off i found the damage to be a little worse than i thought it was, previous owner has put another tail light/bumper on to hide the damage. Im borrowing my uncles mig so i can do repairs properly, gonna try get it out with a slide hammer and ratcheting off another vehicle. Also gonna fill aerial hole and badge holes

Mate thats awesome. Love the job you've done. The VE chasers really suit it.

Good luck pulling the dent out of the rear.

cheers for the comments guys

bit of an update, have reparied the damage at the rear end now, the whole right hand side was kinked in about 25 mm starting from just under the number plate. Using a bit of 75x50 rhs chocked across the wheel arches in the boot and a bottle jack, i managed to push it all out fairly straight. pulled the dent out along the back there too by welding various plates/loops etc onto it and pulling using a ratchet strap off my ute.

iv now pulled all the doors off and have started blocking down. i also got hold of a new headlight surround off blownUC202s donor car, which is getting blasted atm along with some other stuff and will be fitted as soon as i get it back. picking up the rest of my paint this arvo :D will be spraying this weekend hopefully.
Heres some pics as it stands now and the boot which had to be bare metalled due to poor prep work on its last respray by previous owner and the paint has started to crack everywhere( tops of all quarter panels and roof also cracking)

its not warped around the weld, just the lighting is poor cos i got the fluro around the back of the car
