I'm no expert at all but would it have something to do with them being visible and easily accessible for someone to take off. Like in a carpark?

That's the only thing I could think of.
Anyways I love the car mate hope u can get the sticker fixed easy.
What engineer u looking at using

Little update.

Engineer has signed off on fuel cell setup and lokka diff. Rear main wasn't leaking. it was the rear of the sump. I put new bolts at the back because it previously just has silicon in there cos I was a lazy crunt n misplaced them ages ago. Seemed to b ok but after driving 200km back to Perth there's oil everywhere under there again. I'm just gonna degrease it and try to pass pits. If it doesn't pass engine will come out to fit new sump gasket and an Allfast torque convertor will go in, it's way too dowy off the line with the standard vn stall on there, I'm gonna get a 2800 made up with tight stall ratio

Got the sticker off finally, I've ordered a manual valve body from the states and a mate at Allfast has built me a stallie, once the valve body gets here it's all goin in, mt streets n off to the drags again, this time on e85, I really want to crack an 11 but I think a very low 12 is more like it.
Heres a few pics I found

I'm relocating my gauges into where the old stereo was and am going to make a new design getting rid of the ashtray. Plans are to try use a vl console and build it up around the pro ratchet shifter.
I looked around for a gauge cluster but couldn't find anything I liked so I made my own

Sorry I can't resize my images it seems the photobucket site is down
Not sure whether to paint the gauge cup black or the cars base colour blue
What do you guys think?

Had a ball at mv, histall is in but I got my uncles mate, who is a mechanic to try put the manual valve body in. What a fukup, he couldnt get his head around it, had no reverse and 3/4 was slipping. I told him I needed it for mv so he tried to put my old one back in, which is modified but he couldn't get that going either, ended up putting a STD one out of another 700 in so I had the car for weekend. It was line a stock slushbox. Would not shift over 4500 rpm, couldn't get secon hear when doing a skid :(

Stall works awsome tho, goes so much harder off the line now, had the second fastest time in gowhoa most of the weekend. Bugger I couldn't do the final cos I had a 2h drive home and had to be out of our rental that night, even smoked a wrx off the line :D

Sweet. Sounds like it goes pretty awesomely despite the couple of little things.

I like the guage idea and how you're integrating the ratchet shifter into a console. Have you progressed any more with the interior?

Car has been living at S&g gearbox exchange the last few weeks. Getting the t700 built again with all the fruit. Reverse pattern manual valvebody should b fun with the stall and pro ratchet. I'm retaining engine braking aswell.
Cooler kit arrived in today's mail aswell, fun times ahead in the little torrie

Gbox was done just in time for nostalgia drags. Awesome day, some really fast cars there made mine look so tame. Met fatslr off the forum he's got a very tidy hatch. First run got a 14.3@104 sonething wasn't right, got back to stafin n found no5 lead had caught the chassis rail n popped offend plug, problem sorted next run got a PB of 12.27@111. Followed by 12.3 n a 12.6 trying different launches.
Couldn't get any better times into the night. One I didn't stall up hard enough and the other got no traction as my street Tyres had started to clay up.

All in all pretty stoked, first elimination dialled in 12.27 other guy dialed 12.99 had him at the end n backed off way early and did 12.29@105! Would have been interesting if I didnt have to. A mate got some videos, hopefully he gets them up. Got eliminated next run, not enuf stall n poor reaction time.

Cheers for the comments, yes we were a little bit naughty haha. My uncles doing the interior atm, it's going to be pretty out there, cream and oyster leather, trying to cone up with designs for the door trims atm, thinking of using bits of the commodore trims, colour scheme and styling based on the cv8r monaro

Doesn't matter, i would/will do the same. How did it come when you layed the clear straight off the gun, shiny? Did you cut it back and buff at all?

As for the doors, would be nice, i have to admit i really like that colour scheme. Could experiment with some chrome strips and maybe SL/E embossing. Maybe even auto windows, can buy a kit for like $180

Came out mint off the gun. Only reason I had to cut it bak was there was a few runs, yeah electric windows or central locking would be nice, are the kits pretty easy to install?
