the motor is set up for gas only so havnt really tried to get much out of it, done a easy 14.0 with timing retarded and over carbied, its very similar to Kevin's motor in his EH, mine is just tuned for gas

ha you wish :stirpot:

im not having ago at your tuning im just saying that squared jetting on the plate and over jetted carb would be overly rich in most cases. what fuel pressure are you running with the nitrous.

11.92 1.736 60ft. there is a bit of a delay with the nitrous coming on because of the line length between the solinoids and the foggers.

i suppose that depends on what diff you have and what ratios you can get.

lets say it weigh's 2400 pound at the startline and is capable of doing 109 MPH. 22 inch tyres and 3.9 ratio bango would do 109 mph at 6500 revs.

109 mph in a 2400 pound car with 230 real rwhp and slicks and a manual is no drama's. unless you drive a car with one of those poxy/pussy autos where you get your blouse caught in the shifter all the time. (no offence intended btw)

But said blouse, as per Kev's statement above, is great for shoving into those leaking slave and master cylinders when trying too hard to keep up with a race prepped auto!!!..........no offence intended btw!

did you change the diff gears to get it from 112mph to 119. mine is running out of gear and wont go anymore that 114 mph.

I changed the diff to 3.55 to stop it reving so much at the top end because it was blowing head gaskets at about 7000rpm. Now I shift at about 4800 and cross the line at about 5800rpm 60ft is still 1.4sec and 1/8th mile is 6.9. I also bumped the n2o up to 150hp.

did you run it with 3.55s in it but still on 130 hp of nitrous. and did it mph or et better?

I,ll have to check my time sheets but I think the et stayed about the same but the mph was higher and the rpm was a bit lower. I,ll get back to you

yes I did but I also changed the torque converter so I,m not sure of the difference was with just the ratio change but the ET and mph stayed the same , at one stage a couple of years ago I changed the torque and it made heaps of difference to what the motor would rev to. I know that sounds like crap but it did :dontknow: and this torque converter seemed to have done the same it doesn't want to let the motor to rev past 5000rpm where the one before did BUT it blew to bits and I mean bits.

what converter did you change to?

It was a 3500rpm Red Diamond. Ive checked the rpm at the end of the track compared to the mph and it all seems OK. Its a strange one because it will rev in the burn out to well over 5000 in fact you have to watch you don't over rev it. :3gears: ETs and 60ft times are OK but :spoton:
