That little ute belongs to John Bogaart. I have had a little bitty to do with this ute over its build and wish to congratulate john on the performances this car has made on only its first full meet. I can tell you it is a very simple setup that just works really well, with alot more areas he could improve on if he wished.

Great work John and Ryan

The mazda ute belongs to a mate of mine. It is a pretty basic cheap setup. Blue motor. Starfire rods. ACL pistons that he dished himself. Standard Yella Terra head.
Manifolds are cut down VK. I think he got them from the dump.

wasn't me, it was the customer.

yeah im not a big fan of the maggy, too old school for me.
has no mech advance, no rev limiter, cant use a normal tacho and you need 2 clamp's on it to stop it from turning.

I know its nothing flash but my car ran a best of 13.9@112mph on wednesday night on 15psi. 202 blow thru, saginaw 4spd, 3.08 open diff 175/70r13 tyres. In this run the clutch slipped 4th gear so I backed off. Thanks

It's certainly a quick car, 11.0@120mph. Charley Muscat used to run a green FC ute with Dog-057 plates on it. He told me that it was it's 1st time out, I didn't see under the bonnett.
