i've retired the banjo from service. there were some odd mods involved to get it to hold together. the 9.90 was more than it could or should have to deal with. with gas i've been using a B/W,seems plenty strong enough.as far as rear end suspension mods go its really very basic back there. std shocks, std lower springs, boxed arms and poly urethane bushes is all, just like the thousands of others out there.

mine's the one with the gas, thats a pretty old photo, i've changed things around since then. 150hp max was all i could put through it, even then the poor cast pistons couldn't handle a full pass. there's 2 kits plumbed up but only 1 was ever used. the other picture looks like a circuit racer. there is a rear sway bar fitted also. being just a hobby, building it on a budget spending as little as possible and not taking it seriously, you should be able to go a lot quicker just spending a bit and using decent parts.

If its currently assembled and running you really should take it up to the 6 Banger nats.

A bit of a drive, but well worth it.

Book your holidays now.

i'd love to but it's still got the N/A 9 port motor in it. its a long hike just to run mid 11's. that engine is staying in there until it runs a bit quicker, there's still some things i need to try.

Don't worry about the drive, it's a great weekend racing other quick sixes, isn't it Craig.

a few more numbers i didn't mention,coz i thought yous were talking about N/A 9 ports, the same 9 port engine with 120hp gas ran 10.22 @ 129.7mph on M&H 265/55/15 street tyres back in 1997, the duggan headed engine with 150hp gas ran 9.79 @ 135mph in 2002 and 11.29 @ 118.9mph N/A with the 3.9 gears.

What sort of specs are you wanting to know?
