Definitely agree with that. Especially with the history of the car as per your other thread.

Do you have the original engine number? We may be able to find the car's identity on the VIN disc.

And the Original Machine that Stamped the I.D Plates for LJ's and HQ Holden Etc was at the Museum,Not sure if it was the Adelaide or Brisbane Stamping Machine, but Holden Donated it to the Museum.

Hi DaveONope, no numbers on the back in texter.
I will get the engine number tomorrow.
The number on the back of a Bris built ADR tag won't help ID your car as it will only be the the Body Number. The original engine number will help (if its listed on the VIN disc).

That makes sense ,has it been there for several years , at a guess I'll say it's Brisbane .
It was the Holden Museum in Euchuca Victoria,my mate was working at Bendigo at the mine there,he told me when he came back to live here,As its a Museum in Vic and Holden Donated it,it might be the Vin Stamping Machine from the Melbourne Plant. ??????????

baz im aware of what numbers it will give out, and i posted it to help him find its paint tag body number as you already asked for the engine number to chase the PSN, after all hes missing both front tags.

Hi gtr-xu1
I am sorry if my post was interpreted as questioning what you are, or ar not, aware of. My intent was to merely clarify for DaveO, precisely what it was that may have been established had there been anything on the reverse side of the tag. Once again - sorry.
Cheers

The engine is a Nasco replacement engine for a HQ or LJ, so it won't be on the records.
The stamping machine mentioned above is the only one. All tags were stamped at Fisherman's Bend and sent out to the plants each day.
