The easiest way to remove you steering wheel is with a steering wheel puller.

These are available from most auto shops

Or buy a Harmonic balance puller... I use them to get steering wheels off too.

If I recall correctly the horn ring off the standard wheel needs to be screwed on to the back of the GTS wheel, with the spade terminals pointing up through the holes reasonably straight. Then adjust the two studs in the horn button so that they contact these spade terminals when the button is pressed only and ensure there is a reasonable earth through the springs and screws which attach the button.

When you put the new wheel on, tighten the nut firmly by hand and take it for a slow drive on an even, not cambered, surface.
Whilst driving, look at the spokes compared to the backdrop (dash?)
E.g r/h spoke is lined up with the 120kph mark on you speedo or something.
Pull over, put the wheel in the position it was whilst driving and from there, re-align the wheel.
Check it on the road again and re-adjust if neccessary before you tighten the nut with a tool.

If you need to get the wheel off and dont have a puller, loosen the nut until it is flush with the end of the shaft, or just a little proud of it. Then position yourself on the drivers seat with bothe knees behind the wheel with as much tension as you can give it, then take your trusty hammer and give the nut a good whack. Should come off with 1 or 2 whacks. Wont damage anything if done properly. Have used this technique hundreds of times with success.

.. with both knees behind the wheel with as much tension as you can give it...

A puller is a far better way of doing it as far as I'm concerned, but if you use the hammer pay close attention to the above so you don't wreck the collapsible column

Yeah, I hit my nut on the column once, near wrecked it, would not advise hitting your nuts with a hammer, ever.

Loosen the nut till it's flush with the end of the shaft.
Pull on the steering wheel as hard as you can.
Headbutt the nut.
