What did you use to stick the dynamat to the roof? Is it self-adhesive? I like the idea where do you get it too? May use that in the roof of my UC.

Looking great too cheers

I love the dynamat stuff! It looks so professional all laid down!

How much did it cost for the floor and roof? It'd make a huge difference.

Hi Brad. Yes, the dynamat has an adhesive backing, like a giant sticker.

Vinny, how much do you want for the number plate light?

Not sure how much my brother paid Matt, but he bought 2 boxes of the superlite dynamat. I've not even used a full box yet, but I still have to do inside the doors, rear guards and boot area. I do really like the dynamat though. Should make it a very comfy car in the end sound wise.

I finished off the dynamat today. Lucky me working on sunday. Oh well, I took friday off to go for a 4 hour round trip to get a new puppy : )

Getting the dynamat in the door was a lot of fun. Trying to not have it stick to everything, and itself, but still get it on as smooth as I could took a little while, but it looks OK and will do the job nicely.

Posted Image

I also did under the rear seat and inside the rear guards.

Posted Image

Then I attacked the hatch area. It's pretty easy to put this stuff on, but it did take a while to do the whole car. I guess it is a fairly big area when you think about it.

Posted Image

Posted Image

I also did a little bit more on the firewall.

Posted Image

The other door and rear guard.

I thought I'd put this pic in here just because it's funny how quickly the car gets dirty just sitting there. The bonnet is lovely : )

I only closed the bonnet for the first time today since making the new intake pipe and engine covers, so had my fingers crossed. I was right though, plenty of room.

The wiper motor was a close one though since I welded the hole up where it usually sits into in the bonnet.

I finally got the dooe strikers back from getting HPcoated, so fitted them and adjusted the doors. It's nice being able to shut the doors at last. They line up well now too.

This last pic is just because I think my extractors look pretty since they've been coated : )

Posted Image

Well it's back to the camaro for a bit now. I'm glad actually. It's too nerve racking working on freshly painted cars, I need to chop and weld something : )

Oh, on a more important note, here's our new puppy.

She's a french bulldog and is only 2 months old yesterday.

My daughter absolutely LOVES the new puppy. Can't keep them apart : )

OK, that's enough of that. I promise the next post I do will be torana related......

That is a real ugly/cute dog! HAHA!!

The car is looking great! The Dynamat stuff would make a HUGE difference to the feel on the drive! I'm keen to fit that to mine! I reckon it'd make the ride feel so much better!!

Hey slr_v8. This is the superlike dynamat, so is only about 2mm or so thick.

I'm such a good typist. I meant "superlite", not superlike : )

Your frenchies are awesome too many torries. They are brilliant little dogs aren't they. We've been keeping an eye out for one for a couple of years now so am rapt to finally have one.

the only downside to frenchies is that they never smile...poor sad little bulldog cheeks.

I've wasted more money than that on other things on my car...

$200 is a decent price i reckon for something that would make a huge difference! I might buy some when i get my tax back!

Matt, I've been through two boxes on mine, and recon I will need another half a box to finish the doors and rear quarters,
It will cost about $600.00 all up and will add about 25kg, not even worth worring about.

Here are some pic's of the type Matt is talking about.

25kg is nothing!!! I've offset that with my Racing seats over Torana seats.

I might start buying a box here and there. Start by doing the areas that i know never need to be touched again. (Some areas need some rust treatment, so i'll fix the rust first!)

It looks so clean and professional when all done!

You can post whatever you like in here Paul : )

As for doing the roof, yes I had the same vision in my head of having a new dynamat haircut, so I unpeeled about a foot, then stuck it to the roof, then unpeeled it as I went along. Seemed to work ok.
