TORANAFEST UPDATE
Hi All
a bit of an update from last month to let you all know what is happening..
SPONSORSHIP
We have been very fortunate to not only secure Southern Cross Ten for another year, but this year brings OneHD on board as well!!
We are very excited as this will see the Toranafest ads reach all over NSW and in some parts of VIC and QLD.
For those that didn't see the ad last year, I finally worked out how to upload to youtube;
We are hopeful that the OneHD side of it will see some coverage of the event for viewing after Toranafest as well.
If anyone out there is intersted in being a sponsor of Toranafest, email me and I will forward the information to you.
VIP's
We are still working on a huge number of VIP's that we are hoping to secure and when we know we will pass it on. Some of the people that we are talking to include;

John Sheppard
Joe Felice
Colin Bond, and
Jim Richards
Accomodation and the Toranafest "Meet and Greet BBQ"
We have been working hard alongside the "Toranafest" Motel to come up with some very good rates that will include things like the Sat. night "Meet and Greet BBQ" and Dinner packages for those staying on the Sunday night as well. The Sat night BBQ will be a great night and we hope those coming along get in their best 70's gear.We are also planning some special things for the evening as well. I will be sending the information out to the clubs, and if anyone else requires this info, please email me.
Toranafest Extreme Go Karts
We are planning a great afternoon on the Saturday where we will be holding a Go Kart Race meet of sorts!! This open to all people who are coming to Toranafest and it is shaping up as a great little event. The track is only 20mins from the Motel and it is indoors. A huge upstairs are will be provide and there are numerous spectator areas for those just coming to see the racing!
Numbers for this event are limited to about 60 people, and the cost is approx $60 for the 1/2 days racing. This cost will include some finger foods as well as Trophies for the winners on the day!! Will you be the fastest o the day??

The pinnicle of Toranafest!! Sunday's Show and Shine will be the pinnicle of the weekend with expected numbers to be over 250 cars!! There will be something for everyone!! Aparts from the great range of Toranas, the VIP's will be there to sign your memorabilia an have a chat. The Shannons Super Rig will be there as the focal point for all of the happenings on the day!
We will be bringing back the "Gentlemen, start your engines"!! This will rock the Foreshore!!
The first 250 Pre Entrants will recieve a T shirt, a Goodie Bag and an Entrants Trophy!! Entry forms will be available soon. All those that entered last year will have theirs emailed to them!! Do not be dissappointed enter asap!!
We will also be having some "Fashions on the Field" Competitions to see who are the best dressed on the day!! That should be great fun!
anyway, that's about all I can tell you at the moment. We hope to have entry forms both sent out and posted up here within the next few weeks, so on that side of it, please be patient.

We are twice as old as most of you therefore we only have to travel 1/2 the distance to = your distance
Simple maths really

As you probably know Grant, I love to show the history on the LX Hatchback as well as GMH/Torana and a tribute to the great Peter Brock but I have thought of another idea that will show the right "direction" to go
I love the challenge of changing my display and since I started going to Toranafest in 2008, each year it has been different.
This year it will have the basics like the Hatch Hutch and display boards but some display board content has been changed plus ................................. Nah the plus bit will remain a secret till the day.
