I'm interested to see any pics of a Caribbean Torquoise A9X, and is there any remaining of the five sedans made?

Andrew.

Carribean Turquoise is a metallic colour that's a fair bit darker than Aquarius I believe. I've never seen an A9X in that colour but some of the more club-oriented members might know more about that situation

Thanks Guys, I have seen several LX's in this colour, but was interested to see an A9X. I'm guessing that is propably wasn't a popular colour in the 80's and most may have been repainted another colour.

There was one in Canberra about 15 years ago, a guy who worked for Coca Cola as rep owned it, a 4 door A9X. Don't think I have any pics, sorry.

^ It might be the same one that was in an old Torana magazine I have somewhere in my room.

If memory serves me right its a 4 door A9X carribean turqoise, motor stretched out to supposedly 333 or 355ci, something like that. Big wheels, drop tank, usual 80's mods.

I will try dig up the magazine, its somewhere in the pile of 3000 magazines.

My brother bought one new in that colour from Ron Hodgson Motors in NSW. It was fitted with factory sunroof, air con and Yellow Light alarm. He fitted 9" Hotwires to it and it looked awesome.

I looked at the one from Canberra on a lott near Manly a few years ago. Not much left of the originals car, it was really knocked about and the dealer thought it looked better with the flares painted black!

Thanks guys, I was hoping for a picture, but I'll keep searching. I have a photo of one in the distance from an A9X Club Nationals meeting at Bathurst in the early 90's (I think) taken by a former A9X owner who lives in Maryborough Qld.

Andrew.
