The firenza looks kinda cool, but there's no way it's what that red torrie thingy is. It has a real curvy hip line in the rear guard like a 1968 camaro, where the vauxhall is flat. I can't even tell if that red torrie is a hatch, or a sedan with hatch doors. It certainly doesn't look like a hatch at the back. Not slopy enough. I've seen a couple of sedans with hatch doors. hey look cool.

Check this cool beastie out -

What the hell is it? tell me please?
Why does the bonnet , front gaurds and door look like a torana?

It looks like a custom - in the 80's it was a trend, thankfully it didn't last long.

Basically you chop panels, front ends, bits and pieces from any car you wish and put it all together or just fabricate your own front/rear end from fibreglass, etc. and throw in whatever grille, headlights, blinker combination you could dream up.

There were some real monstrosities out there.

I got no idea!

The Drivers seat looks torana, i want to know more about it to!

That grill doesn't look convincing, but the reflections in the body do... hmmm

Can you send the person who posted that image a message asking for info on it? I don't believe it's real

Really confused. Where are the plates from? Is it by chance one of those countries where they have more money than they can intelligently use, like Dubai?

Honestly guys I reckon that LJ ute it awesome. I wouldn't take it to a carshow or anything, but I would love to have a Torana ute, even if it was 'ugly'.

Well thats one way of saving a Torana hatch with a rusty tailgate & C pillars and saving a old imported
Camaro which you found had a flinstones floor.

BTW that early Vauxhaul Firenza looks like 2door Chrysler Centura.

Chrysler Centura before it became a Chrysler Centura

The Centura looks so much better (they only put the nose on it so it could fit the six in!)

I had a feeling it was a sedan with hatch doors, and seeing the rear shot I assume that's what it is. I still think it's awesome.

Thats three different cars that all look the same apart from the grille so I would say it is a model in its own right ??

It looks like a HQ statesman, a VT and a HQ in the background of those photos and the architecture definitely looks like SE Asia so I would say thats a safe bet as to where they are.

Still doesn't help identify what they are but narrows the search down.

What gives you the idea its a sedan with hatch doors?
I reckon its a complete hatch up to the B-pillars.
Its a bit hard to tell tellas there are no side shots and hes probably using a
10mm lens with is distorting the photo unfortunately.

Hey Archie. The back window and the area around the back window looks like standard torana sedan. It's got a thicker looking C-pillar, and obviously the rear guards are different, but it still looks to me like it's got a complete sedan roof with hatch doors.
But hey, I could be wrong. It's happened to me many times : )
I still love that thing though. Whatever it is.
I hope it is some weird model that has those nice rear guards standard. Then we can get some : )

Actually, forget that. The more I look at it the back window area looks like TC/TD cortina : )

What was I thinking??? Torana back windows have squared off top corners don't they? That thing doesn't.

I'm just proving to you all my great powers as an idiot : ) hahaha

One more thing. In the picture with the little boy in front of the car, what's that on the left? At first I thought it was an HQ monaro, but it's all weird looking and has B-pillars and door frames. What the??? And the guard flutes look like pus.

I reckon its a HQ, I think the a A pillar looks fat because its masked for painting. Its got that curve too.
The B billar looks fat probably because he customized that way.

The perculiar thing is the back quarter window looks exactly the one he used on the Torana but the
quarters arent Camaro, They look HQ.

I dont know. are we givin this guy too much credit?
I can see his not a sloutch with a digital SLR and his Photoshop skills arent bad either.
