I have a worked blue 208 with big cam (around 40/80), ported 12 port head flowing nearly 300hp, genie race tune headers, locked dizzy, roller rockers ect putting out 280hp. Running a trimatic, full manual, 3000 stall. Would like triple webers but not sure what to do???

Something doesn't quite add up here. Does it really make 280hp now? That's a very very good output from a 12 port motor, and to get it you'd need to be running some bloody good carburetion already (eg. 3 x DCOEs) - I seriously doubt that you'd even get near those numbers with a 390 four-barrel...
And I'd love to see photos of the head - is it a Holden or a YT head? I've spent the afternoon struggling to get air through an EFI head with a die grinder (for my son's 202) - it's coming along OK but I'm still a long way off 300hp. You've either got an exceptionally good head or else your porters flowbench is optimistic..

Hi all if this is making 280 to 300hp without tripples or efl thats mad cause I have tripples 45 dcoe and hope to be making that sort of pwer and thats running i big soild cam with 261 duration at .50 and gross valve lift is .556 on my blue 202 with 186 head and thats got all the good gear cheers

Hi Skorcher/Vince - welcome.

You'll have to get the young girl on here, there are quite a few gals on the site who can look out for her. I would think that the 500 is set up for the engine, but it may not be set up for economy. If you are adept at cam changes it may be worth sourcing a Vac Sec 390 (as mentioned in an early post) which will provide good economy and the requisite power when required - you will probably want a lighter cam for it than the one that may be in the car to suit the 500! Then you can swap it back, tune and send the girl west :D

I'm sure there will be many here willing to offer her help or escort to Willowbank :P Don't trust any of them muhahahaha

Grant..
