so are u going to a roller cam in this motor?

how much were the set of valves? are they from summit?

hi mate,

arh no roller cam yet in this but i would think in the future it will have one.

arh the valves came from manly they were 250 us each set we got 8 of each for spares.

Just an update on this thing.

the block has been back from getting grout filled for a while now but ive been pre ocupied and a few things have happened since.

so i have now fitted the crank and a slug again to get some more work done on it then it will be pretty much ready to go together i was hoping to have it together by now..

in the pics u can get an idea of how much grout was used hehe.

is that block grouted so it can still run water through it? will the car see any street use?

yeah there is still room for the water to circulate in block to be honest im more concerned about the water circulation in the Iron head than the block as u will see when its finished.

the car will see as much street use as it can handle i guess :rockon:

with the boost down to a pump fuel freindly level.hehe.

Hey there mate your doing a great job the grout filling of the blocks come up good, did this to my 202 which is also a blow through set up, gets dynod tomorrow actually, we had some heating issues at the start but went for a bigger alloy radiator and twin 12 inch thermos all all good no probs at all .

hey hayden im running ross forgies, turbo is gt35/40 and nah mate just got cast 9 port head but matched ported to suit everthing cant wait for the figures tomorrow , let me guess you cant either ha ha il let you no when i do, mate cant work out how to post pics will wait till the boss gets home i think. hoping for 240rkw.

ok did a few more checks thisarvo here are some pics note the size of the valve springs,no not the ones under the rockers.i guess u need them when your looking for a fair amount of hp.

im so used to piston to valve clearance dictating how much comp u get, this has way more clearance in that area than ive seen in a long time.

anyway these maybe the last pics before it goes together.

well finaly the day has come this engine is all but done pete is picking it up tomorrow and from what i can gather it should go in a few months. it has had good company in my shed this last week just hope some of the hp it will make might have slipped into my old faithfull.hehe. that is what i have been doing all last week.

i will add the vac module on the dizzyu will be gone tomorrow.woot woot
