Big call Torry Nut but I'm suggesting that Linamint is the best of the LC XU-1 colours. Saw a top GTR made up as an XU-1 at the Summernats. Made my day!
Anyway, I'll validate 82911CL162434 cos it's in my garage.

Now...where is my inspiration? Ratcatcher?

Edit: and anyone who is not a knob (or friends with LC/LJ 2-door molesterers) can come and have a look at it for themselves.

What about factory coloured Lina-mint 'S' models?

Are you going to run the numbers entered , past Bazza first , that's if it's alright with bazza , to eliminate the ones that have a mixture of tags ,to give a more accurate list.

I have always liked linamint the best

My xu1 is # 50 from the brisbane plant. built on 18-8-70

second choice would plumdinger.

LOL! Great stuff!

Linamints of any body/engine configuration are welcome I suppose, as long as someone else is recording the numbers...which it appears they are :blink2: . It's a good thing.

TBM, you crack me up. Never saw under the bonnet of that either, except in the mag!!

After I've clocked more posts in this thread than Torry Nut has, I'm going to start a register to honour the colour of my 4 cyl LC... that's right, olive, with a white top. Bet that pulls some numbers!!

The 4 cyl is getting more love than the XU-1 at the moment but is still not running. I'm re-engining it too.

original paint on my lc was linamint, now if only i could be sure of what the vin was Posted Image

hey boys. im 15 years old and im building an lc xu1 replica and i want it to be linamint coz this colour is awesome and it stands out when idiling at the traffic lights or flying passed! also someone should post some pics up of linamint toranas so we can get more excited :) cheers

thats a nice original looking unit gong... i would put the standard rims back on though!
