I like it man and its good to see the project is still ticking along. Did you buy the car of a QTCC member originally (and if so, who, if you dont mind my asking?) or are/were you a member? I dont seem to have any Scott's over your way on the current member list.......

I've said it before (in the original thread) and I'll say it again..... A V8 Ford on full song is a very nice sound indeed !!

BIG T - I bought the car from a bloke down at redland bay, i am fairly sure he was a member and the second owner of the torana. From memory he said he got the car from deceased estate down south. I have the purchase receipt here somewhere with his name on it but just cant find it at the moment.

Anyhow got some new rocker covers, got some leads made up, slapped it all on, made some oil lines for rocker cover(that stuff is expensive).
Waiting for breather can so i can plumb the covers to the can.

this is worse then the bloke that wanted to stick the subaru running gear in a rana at least he was only a dreamer lol
Oi - I resemble that remark :-)
Back on topic - that looks awesome and good on ya for doing something different and really blasphemous.
However personally I think Ford and GM should never be mixed. There is such a rivalry between them that it really is sacreligious to put them together. As has been said before at least if you swap in japanese gear it is usually an upgrade in technology, but sticking a Clevo in is just a sideways move and doesn't really make sense to me.
Looking forward to seeing the final result and yes the looks on peoples faces will be priceless.

Tell people it's a race Chev. Although I'm not comfortable with the idea, it looks good, nice work.

A friendly shit-stirring of your Ford driving mates is one thing, but this is just unbelievably childish.

I could of been stereo type and put a 308 m21 and a bang she go in it , but that would make me be one of them.(just some one that owns a over price vehicle)
Now, when someone puts a chev in a capri or a corty, F@#K mate! thats how ford should of done it, or a 308 in a capri or corty now that would get the juices flowing in you GMH guys.
This car is not a show car, so it wont be going to any shows and the bonnet wont be open for display any where not even at willowbank.
Now, when the bonnet is closed, i would challenge anyone on this forum to identify what engine is sitting in the engine bay without previous knoledge of what i have done so far.
Also bare in mind that, when i am over the clevo in torana thing i simply can just remove engine and box, remove engine plate brackets and then i will be left with a standard unmolested 6 cylinder automatic torana(apart from mini tubs, which still retains the rear seat).
So if someone wants so badly for me to stop what i am doing, then i guess you can offer me some goog money for a complete rolling shell minus engine a box.
For the less mature folk of the GMH TORANA FORUM this is by no meams a dummy spit !!
P.S Keep the comments coming !

Like you said, most people wouldn't even know if you don't tell them. I doubt many could pick it even with the bonnet up!
I do appreciate 'some' of the Ford product- look at your dizzy there being unbelievably easy to get to etc. compared to the Holden style stuffed down the back...
I like the fact you've done something different even though It's not the direction I would've gone.
