If it works out that way, that you need to do shakedown runs etc, then i'm sure this day would be excellent.
MANY MANY passes and plenty of time between to tinker, as long as you realise that if you ran sub 10 then you would be asked to stop racing! (Have to race the tow-car like some of the boys did last time! LOL!)
Cheers mate!

Sunday March 20th and cars up to '78 allowed to enter. Covers all Torana models and always a good day racing. The sub 11 second guys can race no problems so long as they follow ANDRA rules.

So far so good, I'll ask John to lock in the date, and only if there are stupidly exeptional circumstances would it change!
Is everyone cool with that?

Pending his reply, We're now officially racing again on SATURDAY July 10th 2010 at WSID Sydney Dragway!!
I've also asked about the maximum cap of 50 entrant cars, So i'll just wait for confirmation of that number, but last time the limits were:
MINIMUM 40 Cars
MAXIMUM 50 Cars and we had 47 entrants previously.
Again I will organise this the same way as last time:
All monies to be paid UP FRONT and NON-REFUNDABLE (Unless we get rained out and I Recieve a refund, which will be donated to a worthy charity... Just Kidding.. It will be refunded equally to each entrant.)
WSID rules and regulations will be strictly adhered to
Spectator tickets will again not be available on the day, they will have to be handed out by an entrant racer. spectators wishing to attend will need to organise PRIOR to the event to ensure they get entry tickets.
Photography ( and hopefully) Videography will be included in the entry price. I will discuss this and the cost more when i get the price.
I have one last IMPORTANT question relating to this day:
In *THIS* Thread - we are discussing holding this day as part of the "Torana Drag Nationals" overall title. Would ALL racers be agreeable that we run Dial Your Own (DYO) racing after lunch so that we can compete for Sydney trophies ( on the day) - and All results tallied toward the drag nationals class trophies?
Anyway - I have this list here and again i would like an indication of who would still be keen to come along.
Especially considering the DYO racing as mentioned above.

1. Mitch
2. Kranke
3. Youngy

I'll pose that question in that other thread too

I'm not going to start taking any money for a few weeks at LEAST until we have alot of the little things ironed about how the day will run.
I dont want to start taking money off people, giving them one idea of how the day will run, and then go and change plans ( And i'm referring specifically to the DYO racing).
I want everyone to have the best possible chance to come along and have fun, but also to be happy if we decide to do the DYO racing as part of the national event!
I spoke with John henman earlier today, and he mentioned that a 50 car cutoff is not set in concrete, they DO need a head count to work towards, but if we end up with 60 cars that should be ok. I'll talk with him again if and when the numbers become a problem!
Cheers everyone!
