Great to see some familiar names/cars from teh last one, I'm glad everyone enjoyed it enough to come out again!

LXATIV: I'm sure there will be some spectator passes again, I'll try and organise something a bit better this time to get the tickets out to people. (I will pick up the tickets a while before the event this time.. not just on the day!).

That's great to hear Rod!

I'm sure people would love to see some tough cars if people want to drive down to show off their cars too... maybe a bit of a show and shine! But i understand if it's a trailered race car that would be difficult!

Thanks for the support of the day and i'm really sorry we cant have you fast cars heading down the track at these events.. I wish there was some way we could run an event for everyone! (in sydney... we could all tow down to heathcote and race though!!)

WOW this is getting huge! If you still want to enter, keep adding your name to the list. Many people may have seen the list getting bigger and put their name down 'just in case'. But I'm shocked at just how many people are getting into this!

the max number of cars is 50 though wsid have said they will stretch to 60 ish if thats how many entrants we get. I dont think they will care too much as an extra 10 cars to look after is an extra 2grand

I'd be saying 60 would be a good number,
John did say they can cater for more than 50 cars, so i'm sure 60 will be fine.

We had 47 last time, and 45 turned up (2 breakages before the day), and i think everyone got bored of racing befor the end of the day!

Just remember please:
This time there will be Dial Your Own ( DYO) Racing after lunch, so this WILL Cut into the time of everyone for grudge racing.
These DYO brackets will be run for the drag nationals and trophies on the day.


I think if we stick around 60 cars, With a few drop-outs we'll have awesome numbers and a great day!

I completely understand where you are coming from mate! It's better to get these concerns out in the open and not let then build up, so i thank you for bringing it up!

TO answer your questions ( As best i can at the moment.)

so is it toranas only after lunch for the dyo bracket racing ?.is the bracket racing knock out ?

This is not certain at the moment, as the whole DYO/Bracket/classes thing is still being discussed BUT!
My intent is that ALL cars can race in the DYO.
WELL before the date, we will be split into "classes" so we know what we are competing for.
All cars will be able to race and enjoy the thrill of a "Real" Drag racing experience, with it being Knock-Out in the effort to get final winners.
ALL runs will be logged so we can guage different prizes for the day such as fastest (overall) ET, best RT etc.

i attended last year as spec.and 4 $200,as u said tiny everyone was sick of racing.i was hoping 4 the same when i signed up.i know u havent fully worked it out yet,but how many hours are u thinking we will get of each kind dyo/grudge

Racing begins at 10:15am after the driver's briefing, and it's full grudge racing from there Until 1:00pm which is a 30 minute break for lunch.
from 1:30 the DYO Brackets will be run and won, and any remaining time will revert back to Grudge Racing Until 4:00 which is last-pass.

im going to wait till i see whats on offer,this time around, before i pay,i may be a drop out yet,because at the moment this isnt what i signed up 4

im not angry or upset,im just expresing my point.which,i suspect,im the only one .

No Sweat! I fully understand, and again all these details will be finalised a bit closer to the date and is the exact reason i dont want to take ANY monies until all these little details are sorted out so that EVERYONE is fully aware of how the day will run!

Brendan: Good question, Dont forget there will be added costs on top of the $200 entry fee for photography ( This time i'm going to split it equally for everyone to get - still discussing photo options etc!!), and also a small fee to cover trophies.
