Im no photoshop expert but this chop doesnt look right at all to me. I'd like to see a proper one, although im betting the differences between a coupe and 4 door with doors welded are small.

I've got a 4 door and 2 doors and Hey there is no difference accept for the B pillar and quarter panel of course you need the inner panels to suit. The quarter of a 4 door suits a 2 door roof line so i would say it will work just that I wont be trying it

I think someone has to measure the B pillar as it looks in the same position 4dr or 2dr.
The 2dr door is visually longer tho to suit the rear 1/3 (1/4) panel.

2 door doors are longer than 4 door doors, therefore the B pillar must be further back.

As far as I'm aware, the roof, floorpan, screens, and all the important stuff are the same, only the doors and panels are different.

I think its definitely do-able, but it won't be easy, and you'll need a lot of 2 door parts to do it anyway.

If it's not going to be unique or different , why take the time ,just buy a two door ,and drive it ,the next day.

I can see where he's coming from.

Any sort of torry's are few and far between over here, let alone a cheap 2 dr in reasonable condition.

You'd have more luck finding an honest politician....or something else that is very difficult to find...Posted Image

And I think the photoshop request was for a welded up 4 door, not a 4 door with 2 door doors on it.....if you get my drift....

What you really need is an old rusted out 4 cylinder 2 door and chop out the B pillar and side panels.

There's been lots of talk about putting a 6cl front on a 4 cyl, and everyone says it's too hard.

To do it you need two cars anyway, why not just put 4 cyl 2 door pillars on a 6 cyl 4 door. Maybe due to rego difficulties?

May not help in this case but it makes sense.

There's a cheap 4 cyl 2 door on ebay, maybe he'll cut it up and send some bits over instead of the whole car!

I didn't know two doors were that hard to get , if that's the case I can understand it ,but it's still a lot of work , when a four door will drive and feel and sound just the same .

getting a bit ahead of yourself aren't ya !!! just kidding..

I really cant believe it is that hard to find a reasonable 2 door, even one with as much bog in it as this 4 door in your phots ^ Anyway, just go for it if that's what you wanna do, might be better to hang out till the new shells are made, but probably wont be cheap !

i think cutting the front from a 4 cyl would be a lot more work..
i have the front doors from a 2 door, the glass and rear glass/scuffplates roof lining trim etc....
everything i need.....

started stripping the rear doors today
will be removing the rest soon
then b pillars..
then trial fit front doors
tack B pillar in place
fit rear cut down door.....handles welded up
tack in place....
photos soon

There is one area of the car that is different on the 4 drs and if your going to weld up the rear doors look at it carefully
cause :Headbang2: .....see if you can find it

there is alot of rust around thatfront door hinge i'd be sorting that out before anything else but good luck with the conversion i guess your committed now with no b pillar any more. haha. i'm keen to see how you go with it. good luck!

whys that 2runa, he can leabve the stay there has he might want to run the 4 door back seat, but if he is thinking on running a coupe back seat he will need to change the stay that runs throught the middle of the floor that holds the bottem of the back seat.

cheers gong
