looks alright from the rear i reckon, you need to get some full car shots with it, and maybe ditch the sunbird badges! do the spoilers normally have screws exposed like that?

Wait till the metal around the screws rust out... and your boot turns into a pool... then your rear quarters rust out...and the whole boot floor and quarters require replacing. Like that knob head that had my car before me.

i got my boot seal for 40 odd bucks, you should paint the screw heads on the spoiler so they dont stick out as much. looks pretty cool in the full shots though.

Glad you kept it Steve.

You would have regretted it otherwise.

I'm not sure if I like it better with or without the spoiler, but regardless you did a good job tidying it up.

Don't put flares on it mate, uc + flares = UGLY

i wouldn't use sillycone as the acid will eat into the paint

Nice. Cool car mate! I personally like the rear spoiler.

I should have introduced myself yesterday, mine is the blue car in the background.

now you just need to fix the awful ride height, and you'll be sweet!

thanks guys the plan is to buy the flares and paint them the same colour as the spoiler and see how it looks. if i dont like it they will come off and the holes will be welded up before paint. if i like it then the guards will be cut and they will stay.

the ride height cant be any lower without flares, my tires are getting shredded at this height they scrub still on all 4 wheels even after some of the lip was cut out.

sledge i thought it was your car, i really like that blue looks great. there were a few members on here i spoke to though. had a great day

also sounds like i will avoid using silicon.
the rear spoiler im also unsure on at times i like it other times i dont so undecided whether or not it stays

You just need to lip the guards further, and maybe get stiffer springs. You need to go a long way down before it doesn't look like it needs to be lowered more. Use this as inspiration lol

Can always go smaller tyres on the same wheels too. I think the spoiler looks quite alright. I thought it looked fine without it but okay with it.

Even if UCs weren't really ugly with flares, I still wouldn't recommend you flare it because you probably don't have the money for 8-10" wide front wheels, 10-12" wide rear wheels & tyres to suit, big brakes to fill them and a tough V8 so people don't think you're a wanker :P

It's coming along well!

bit the bullet today and put the head off my car on the spare blue motor i have, and have nearly finished piecing together the blue motor.

the reason for swapping for the blue bottom end is because sometime in the near future i want to but on a ported blue head im getting off a friend, then fit vk injection and extractors to suit. so ill get the blue bottom end in, replace the gearbox and drive it for a while until ive collected the other parts i need.

and yes i did mod the block to suit the 9 port head.
should have it all together by the end of the week then ive just gotta hope it goes .

i will have some pics tonight, will also get pics of some other small things ive done like the stereo/ amps.

so far the stereo is a pioneer head unit running into a kenwood 4 channel amp thats running a 15" yolkohama sub and a clarion 4 channel amp thats running hertz 6.5" splits in the front and pioneer 6x9's in the rear. ive been very lucky with the stereo as the kenwood amp was only $50 from cashies and the sub was around $180 with an amp (amp recently died) also from cashies. the rest has been bought new

Did you drill the block to suit the red 9 port head?
