Torrie_Man. It will stay the way it looks for the moment but may get some new 15" wheels to get some

sticky rubber and have to get a button for the trans brake. After i finish my other 2 torana's i will get back

to doing the paint on this one.

Nice work as usual :spoton:

Are you going to try and hide the intercooler with some paint or black mesh or leave it visible?

I'd leave the paint as it is and go the sleeper route. Awesome car man!!

Not to worried about hiding anything at the moment, the paint will stay as it is, but the number plates do give it away, the biggest problem is lack of traction.

Took it for a bit of a drive on the weekend cruzing at about 95km put the boot into it, the next thing i know it's frying the tyres

and the back starts to step out. The scary thing is the fact it's still on a mild tune with only 10psi boost.

Great job, but just wondering..... what did the Engineer have to say about the relocation of the seatbelt mounting plates in the rear wheel arches?
and another one .....did you choose to mount the rear calipers to the foward area so as to shorten the diff without fouling on the shockers?

I was wondering if anyone noticed that i moved them. The engineer had no problems with this, he was more suprised

that i had taken the time to make it look like factory. Yes i had to mount the calipers on the front because the place that

did my diff stuffed up and cut it 1" under size.

I see why you ask, damn fingers not hitting the right buttons on the keyboard, the intercooler core is 600mm x 300mm x 90mm.

The bonnet latch is standard just had to shorten the secondary release by 30 mm ( the one you reach under the bonnet to release, if you know what i mean).

Got a few small jobs done, fitted the actuators for the central locking. Made up some 7" wide GTS rims and 245/60/14 BFG tyres, hoped these might have

helped a traction, but no. I think i'll just get some slicks for the weld draglites. Re-keyed all the locks so now i only need 1 key, and fitted the rubber-less

bumper bars.

Finally got some tyres for the welds, M/T ET streets just 235/60 15. Also had the joy of changing the front springs because the

deep pan on the powerglide was only 95mm off the ground, i used some old lowered pedder HQ 6 cyl spring. Now it sits level and not so nose down.

Not saying they don't look good low but living in Shepparton the police like handing out yellow stickers on a regular basis and with springnats

soon means even more police for the next month or so.

Yes you are right but have to finish the other 2 projects first so the the GTS rims will go back on. For the moment the welds are going to be used

when i take it to Heathcote.

Took it to Heathcote last month ran 15.8 at 108mph, it wouldn't get up on the stall, not making boost, it just drove off the line and didn't get going until half track.

It's still just running 10 psi so not making much power (235rwkw), should be taking to JPC soon to re-map it with more boost.

The welds with centre caps, nuts and delivery cost $1380 from Wheelboyz in QLD. The 235/60 15 M/T street radials were $625 plus delivery off engine masters on ebay.
