I could probably do one of 3 things to get into the 9's.
1, change the diff gears from 3.25 to 3.5.
2, get dominator to build a better stall
3, get a hard tune on c16 or e85 and turn up the boost to 30+ psi.
or i do all 3, but for the moment i'll leave it how it is.

Also built myself a car trailer, sick of hiring dodgy servo trailers.

The trailer weighed 620kgs without the spare tyre, the deck is 4000x1900mm and the draw bar is 1600mm.

That was taken at last years Show us your wheels at Numurkah and yes i am that ugly.

Clint, i've had a v8 HJ station wagon on it behind my vy wagon and it towed good and had the torana on it behind my
dads GQ patrol and could hardly tell it was there. I used slipper springs not rocker springs.
I find the rocker springs make the trailer bounce more.

Hi Andrew, good to hear you got yours enngineered and found a good engineer to deal with.
No wheel spin off the line yet, letting the transbrake go at between 4800-5200rpm you feel it bite hard then die off a bit.
That's why i'm thinking new diff gears or a stall.

Started the trailer build thread in fabrication section. Be patient it may take a few weeks to put all the info up.

Yeah it could be the gears boging it down a bit, sounds likes its a weapon still!

hey mate love the set up. Mine is almost identical in a LC. Hopefully will be at JPC in the next few months getting tuned. Have you had any problems with cooler piping blowing off? Mine looks a little tight coming out of the trottle body and into the cooler.

Hi, haven't had any pipes blow off, but haven't pushed it over 26 psi yet.   ;)

Hey, does your ecu support some form of launch control. With your foot on the brake you can cut x spark from y events and dump loads of fuel in there and build a shitload of boost... It can also retard the ignition timing to after tdc to really spool her up.

The vipec can do anti lag but the extra heat you put into the turbine can kill the turbo faster.

Went to Heathcote a few weeks ago to try out the converter, done a few passes, felt better off the line but a bit slower on the mph.

Then 2 runs back to back, on the second run about 3/4 track I seen blue smoke behind me. So take it home, motor out, head off to find this.

20141002_162253_resize_zpsada0a4fd.jpg

Drained the fuel tank by turning the fuel pumps to find out it sucked the surge tank dry with in 20 second,

so I disconnected the carter black lift pump to find it was only flowing about 1 litre per minute, it should flow about 350 litres an hour,

I still need to pull out the pre filter and check that. So I think the back to back runs have not let the surge tank refill and it's leaned out.

Bummer mate, that's always been a concern of mine with surge tanks when your foot gets heavy in quick concession. Is there a way that you can integrate a warning light hooked up to a sensor inserted into the bottom 1/4 of the surge like an oil level sensor for your engine?
Just thinking....

Cheers, Nig.

Got the motor back the other week, changed out the "H" bean rods for a set of nitto "I" beam rods and some custom CP pistions with upgraded wrist pins.

Also gone with a Ross full race balancer with the tooth wheel to run a crank sensor pick up and need to make a mount for a cam sensor.

I have run a second -6 fuel line and changed the pick up and the position of the fuel filters.
