The last owner had lost the keys prior to me buying it. Subsequently he'd forced the ignition barrel and boot lid. The car came to me without a glove box lid so really my only gain is a door key dammit! :furious:

Bit of progress..........the car came to me with a piece of angle iron replacing the lower radiator

support. I found a second handy that was well........................second handy.....................so it needs repairing too.

Pictures are all over the shop cos this forum is crap for loading pics...............................just sayin

So............As this car was tied together across the radiator support with a piece of angle iron, chewy gum and a bandaid, I thought it best to do some measurements.

I found that the top radiator mount hole measurement was 3mm wider than the lower bolt holes. A close inspection of the left hand rail found a couple of spots pimples and rashes along it's length forward of the cross member mounts.

Made up some thingomawatzitz to support the car and tensioned the rail while massaging the highs and lows.

The last pic is 2 pieces of square tube (one fits into the other) with a bit of all thread running up the guts. Sorta lika cheap porta power.

Yes, it wasn't much, the radiator still fitted with original bolts. I also lifted the left front corner 15mm and massaged the skirt as that corner was down. (No pics sorry)
