But....................It meant I could lift the 2850 out where it is without having to move 23 other projects out of the shed.
There's a lot to do before another engine goes in, the new engine will have a blue head with A/C mount bosses. There is no heater parts at all with the car so I'm going to have a crack at fitting a heater & A/C from something else so that will mean a bit of heater box fab. work at the firewall before an engine goes in.
I also want the convert the clutch to full cable as I want to run a B/W 5 speed.
Then the bay will get a clean up and a squirt.
I'M CALLING THIS PROGRESS!!!!!

I just realised that a build thread can be awesome without having any progress whatsoever. This is a classic
It took reading someone else's to realise that?

I though about 3.5 Rover years ago (at the time I had 3 spare Rover 3.5's here) and then someone here pointed out "engineer" which I hadn't even given a thought to.

Ok. Would have been great with a Rover V8 ! Bloody regulations...

I took this off, now I'm exhausted.
I've also swapped a set of cheese cutters for those daggy black rims.
And ordered a set of number plates
